Yes YOU ALL ARE WELCOME. I have the templates setup to allow us to share the stems and then insert the mixes in one central place, and then comment just bellow it. It's just a little more organized, by having it all on one page for reference. It will make it easier to follow by naming the mixes so we can refer to them in the discussions. Nothing hits ideas home like being able to hear them and compare to mixes immediately. Sometimes it only serves to reinforce that you don't like certain things, but even at that we learn something. You learn from things you don't like along with what you do. So if you want to take advantage of the template it uses google services. I can give any one of you a copy of the template to use for yourself, and then post links and invite mixes. You can email me at fjamstudios AT gmail dot com, and I will bring you in an share the templates with you. You can use them as you like, including here. They will become your property so you control how they are used. What I do is give you a copy of the template, and then you duplicate the template and edit the duplicate. These templates have full email notification. It can be used for reference here in this forum too. Use it anywhere you like. I use them when I want to document the development of an arrangement. Listening to the latest and then listening to where it started out. These players are good for all sorts of ear training. You are welcome in our network, and to continue the discussions here as well. The talent is all over the globe, and I have found a good amount of people are willing to share. It really hits home when you can actually HEAR what they are talking about. Links to the pages with collections of mixes could be shared here or anywhere. it helps all discussions including this one.

 

So I will setup a template for your stems/mix and we can put your words on the page, saying for education only. A good thing about this is we all learn, and you could get a good mastered mix out of it. It's win/win. We can put you on the credits as owner as well.

You really should tell people what you want from masters of your tracks. Even if it's just to play around like this and nobody is going to spend more than 30-45 mins on it, you can still decide what flavor or candy or sausage you get to eat.

Set some targets because otherwise you are going to get everything between -21LU my personal choice of course to - 6LU. Was going to pass over this, but when the frosted flakes made a call to stick at -13 I said why not just follow the tiger.

There are some issues, the glitch at the start has been pointed out, there level jumps in the vocal have also been pointed out but in the last refrain there is some are mismatched EQ issues and a sweeping phase sound, IDK if that was intentional, but it adds a bit of telephone voice and automating a hsf to compensate would make some very sharp percussives stand out even more. Those overly present precussives are why so many of the post outputs are dark.

I decided to just let it be what it is.

BTW you don't have a low end problem, if it was more present it would have overpowered the rest of it.

Yes OP is there a track in this genre that you like the master of that it sounds similar too?
You might want it 6LUFS lots of bass?
Also any fav masters so far if you had to pick one?

Step aside everyone....I'm a professional, ima take a crack at it. Gonna add some MIDI and on the overall duck compressor will add some stereo wideness with the "Loudness" button. I'll be back in 20 mins with a master-peice (even my puns are that good)

 

Jokes aside I have mastered a ton of major label artists and already got this sounding dope. The glitch's in verse 1 are fixed proper. Im actually digging the tune! Nice. 30 mins will upload this

V1 - Maybe too much Sizzle on the tops
V2 - A little less Sizzle on the tops
V3 - Just the right amount of bacon on the tops.

What's the word I think it's sounds really boxy on the vocal? Muffled? Ringy? Especially on the rap bit. 1.32. I don't feel the air on yours.

That is a good master tho! I find it very similar compared to my mastering session. Maybe you achieved closer sound what i imagined. Thanks!

It's a solid one! I really should learn to use some reverbs, So if i did some reverb maybe i could make your mastering session much more easier than this.

it is a nice re-mixed and mastered version but i still no regrets about polishing that snare so much, i still think it is too dark and needs a huge boost at upper ranges. But reverbs and low end treatment are very nice! Also not loud as we did, much more respectful to our ears Thanks! (I am gonna start all over again with decent reverb and delays btw!)
