How to realize arpeggios/notes sequencer like these?

HY-Plugins have always struck me as being sequencers rather than arpeggiators. They have value if you're trying to generate some creative ideas that you wouldn't come up with manually sequencing midi notes, but they aren't what I immediately reach for if I'm just after a quick and dirty arpeggio.

Ofc, there is probably a lot I missed. Just a quick sketch. And I mean it - here's the MIDI:

Oh, and now I see I only have one bar. Four on the floor till I die..

There is an interview where these guys talk about their Prophet 6 and how it does a lot of heavy lifting for basses & arps and that it is on almost every recording they've ever done.

The arp is most likley going of the Pro6's <As Played> which plays the notes in the order you play them, there is a little places where it gets a little swing but that's just the old clock Prophet 6s don't keep great time that is part of their charm.

Didn't watch that, but I'd totally believe it. Probably just played it until it sounded right. Maybe some editing after it was recorded.

To make it, I'd use the synth. But to remake it, MIDI is easier.. Anyway IMO arpeggios are meant to be sort of "audio illusions" especially when used in combo with temporal FXs.

If anyone is actually trying to get the actual notes and pattern rather than how to arp, just use melodyne.

It wont pick it up all up but it will get you 90% of the way there with the actual notes and timing and dominant tone of each bar. Yes it's taking an easier path, but if you don't understand the basic concept of tonality those missing or wrong notes that melodyne throws in are going to frack u up anyways.

The song has very little swing, it's in Cmin from what I hear the arp has a little swing but the percussive element sound spretty bang on or probably close enough to follow a click at 124bpm.

@ To ALL (boys & girls)

I noticed that some of you made an audio Demo...
Is it possible to receive your Midi files?
This way I can analyze and study the way you used the notes for your example and learn more easily.

    Thank you very much. :mates:

    I almost forgot...

Many have written that they would use a Midi sequence to play this pattern... Well, but then (and here my perplexity) when would you use an arpeggiator?
So... on what occasion (and in the right way) would you prefer to use an arp to get the most out if not now?

    Practical examples are appreciated...

    "Using" "the notes". Music theory?
The question might be "Why would you use an arepeggiator?"
Also, an arpeggiator is a "MIDI sequence" too.
A plugin is not always the answer to everything.
