Spire would be one thing, Nexus would just be a wav sample pack inside of a midi keyboard that Flosstradamus would buy in an instant to put the bare loops in his tunes. But Diva would be full circle wedging towards a never ending spiral of a shit taking a shit while it's taking it's shit.

Diva; a synth that's trying to be hardware, then got MADE into a hardware version of the software with slightly more features which used to be hardware to begin with. So then Moog "hmmm's we dids that shits firsts man" and comes out with a software version of the hardware that was trying to be software that was hardware to begin with.

Then there are so many fucking versions of the same synths that they are basically fuckin' versions of TS808 tube screamers that look like every pic of your dope mans mug shots from last years collection for being locked up for the same weed charge. Is there even a fucking difference?!

lol, I literally always use the "Digital Oscillator" because I love em for the Roland JP8k sound, the multisaw! Love the Diva, but I love Zebra more tbh.

I use a lot zebra for pluck and pad... there are a lot of jp-8000 preset in the freshly samples prese
a girdle if we talk about an instance (in fact I was talking about a single instance of Diva uses enough cpu but does not cause glith, clipping etc ...) but it is obvious that many instances give problems to the cpu ... even with spire if you use one goes from god but 10 at the same time will cause problems to the cpu !!!

    You can have SOME sOsc.

    But don't get lost
    in the sOsc.

I really enjoy the sound of Diva. But there are some specialist out there too. The better emulation of the DCO synth Roland Alpha Juno 2 is ReDominator from Audiorealism. Try it once, the old rave sounds, the old vibe and grid. Audiorealism made a better job there IMO. What sounds much closer to the original is actually the modulation of the PWM. There is a certain fine pitch when opening and closing the pulse. Subtle but a big difference in sound. Big Up for Diva anyway.

@famouslut I see you've disagreed with me agreeing to everyone that Diva is a sweet piece of ace. Please don't take your rating back, I just want to know exactly what it is you dislike about Diva?

They make both really samey sounding synths and the interfaces look both a little complicated. They're kinda similar :D

lmao. serious question tho, is Tone2's stuff worth it? I've always avoided them out of spite.

If you don't mind cold digital stuff, they're pretty good at that.

RayBlaster has, according to them, a unique synthesis method. Can't be arsed to check it out now, but from memory it's some kind of mix between impulse responses and wavetables. The interface does indeed look different than other synths, but can't say much about how unique it sounds, since it sounds super digital too, and I'm not a big fan of that. But if you're into psychedelic trancy stuff it would work I guess.

Their other synths are more traditional, FM, wavetable, 3 osc stuff. Again, very digital, but good at that.

FilterBank3 is a pretty versatile filter with lots of models you don't see that often. It's also a synth but I've never used it that way.
