Repair permissions on standalone..

 

I'm assuming it's safe to delete the arcade content downloaded folder once the Utility has finished importing?

 

when you are browsing to the flare utility, are you just doble clicking the jar file? after following your instructions, i'm still not seeing any actual importing, just a false completed window.

 

I browse the jar file using the Command Prompt. you know the basic "dir" "cd.." oldschool stuff

 

hmm, maybe that's it. I guess the jar app is broken on windows unless accessed directly through the command prompt.

 

I dont understand, when I open the java file nothing happens
I'm on windows 10, 64bit, last update
I've already installed the java
but when I double click the flare-arcade.jar file nothing happens

Once you've finished placing the library where you like, can you remove java from your system or must that stay installed for this to keep working? (Sorry if answered already, long thread...).

lol so each pack is taking hours for me to import.... Can i open up multiple command prompts/jar files to do this over night :D? Anyone tried this?

 

For the other developers who installed other JDK/JRE versions before.

Probably you have legacy JRE 1.8.0 that was from JAVA 8. This realese works with Java 16.0.1

JRE is not supported since JAVA 11. So... you need to literally uninstall everything from Java from control pannel and Install JDK 16. Add C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin to the PATH system envioment variable.

Add JAVA_HOME as a new variable (or replace the old one) with the same direction without the bin. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1

 

Could you please explain in detail what you did to be able to import from the extra content, as I cant get .jar file to run as admin.

Oh my bad, is not that theres just aura patches, is just that theres a f*cking ton of them

Metadata.json is inside every Line's folder. For example you should be importing from C:\Arcade Content\After Hours etc. for all the lines you want imported.

 

Yes, it is ; i did that and no issues ocurred in Arcade. (I am on OSX).

 

you need to select the content folder one by one, and then when it completed importing, move to another, start with After Hours, Aura, Beatmaker etc.

Import one folder at a time because the "metadata.json" is unique to each content/expansion and placed inside the content folder.

Anyone else getting hangs and spinning beachballs using this Plugin. Im on Catalina using Logic 10.6.2.

 

how it is done inside command prompt, for those who aren't familiar with using it. Hope it helps.

1. go to Start menu, search "CMD", right click "Run As Administrator"
- make sure you already run your Java as Administrator, if you not sure, just search "java" and then "javaw" and right-click and run BOTH as Administrator BEFORE you run the command prompt.
2. my "jar" file location is :
