Sylenth1 has detected a problem with the file signature (-2146762486) and will now close

have projects saved with version 3.067, I'm going crazy I would like to
understand the reason why it doesn't work anymore, before the formatting

it gives me the same error (-2146762486) with the demo version downloaded from the original site.

now I understand that the cracked working version has disappeared, and has been replaced with a non-working version and possibly containing viruses!

1. Add this certificate from here
2. If you're not using the latest version of Windows then, probably you need to install this patch as well for your architecture and version
3. Run the code below in an elevated command prompt:
   Code:

   certutil -verifystore

4. Try reinstalling Sylenth1.
5. Restart and run step 3 again. Look for something with "COMODO" in it

EDIT: MS has stopped issuing new SHA-1 certificates to Windows 7 and below. This method won't work anymore

i have already done a million times that operation to uninstall and reinstall, only that install is not ok! is a fake installation, there was the fixed version of sylenth1, which worked, on the old pc. Functions but I no longer have the installation file! this file has also been deleted from the internet and has remained or replaced with the version that does not work. therefore all attempts are useless except in the working version.
same thing for the site demo on the site https://www.lennardigital.com/downloads/ from the same mistake! I also tried to format the pc and always managed error.

Just upgrade to win 10 and stay care-free!

 

can confirm this. have two machines. one is win 10, the others old win 7 - i get the same error on sylenth as mentioned - no issues on win 10. time to upgrade to win 10

 

I don't think it's a win 7 or win 10 problem! but I will also do this test! I want to underline that before I formatted the pc, it worked, so it's not an operating system problem!
and in the second pc which is older I installed the cracked version on windows 7!
now I have another install of sylenth1 which in my opinion is not working!
the operation of updating the certificate I was unable to do it because I don't know what to do if someone uploads it, maybe I can!
can you upload a video to youtube or elsewhere on how to update the media certificate (-2146762486)?
which in my opinion is the most plausible thing since I have few programs installed on my pc! however tomorrow I update the operating system and tell you if the problem remains! if it remains it is the installation that is not good!

I tested sylenth1 v.3067 in win 10, it works without giving me the error (-2146762486) problem solved!
But I hope to run it sylenth1 on win 7 too, I don't like win 10!

so the problem is the lack of the certificate on win 7, I would prefer to put it on win 7,
if you tell me what kind of operation to do or what kind of framework or add-on is missing I do it myself without connecting my pc to teamviewer.

 

I have it working on Windows 7. Others users also do. Update your system. My offer was limited to help you by way of TeamViewer because I can't be all writing instructions all day for you guys. So you need to find someone kindly enough to guide you, or use Google. It is not complicated. I am out of here. Good luck.

just install the comodo certificate in trusted root right click the cert install and then install it manualy in trusted root
im on win 7 also and after that it works

i installed sylenth1 with teamviewer now it magically works on Win 7 and does not give an error!

You're probably out of luck, SHA-1 root certs aren't going to issued any more and all existing SHA-1 root certs have to expire before July 1st this year, and the only reason to be still stuck on a SHA-1 root cert is because you're using windows 7 or XP or something else 'unsupported' that hasn't gotten the new SHA-2 root certificates.

May 9th is when MS has apparently set their SHA-1 root certs to expire, so I imagine a lot of the win7 holdouts are going to have a tough decision to make in the next week.
