    Vesion 2.0ß - Complete re-write ov version 1

Version 2.0.1 update - Changed the way I check for a Retina display which might help those seemingly having problems with this. I'm not sure it was affecting most of the more than 1000 people who downloaded the previous version, but it won't do any harm

This software is no longer updated and is advantageously replaced by KLU (Kontakt Library Utility), now in its version 2.x. You can get it here :

So I've just tried it and everything seems to be working fairly well except that I'm getting the ol Library content not found in Kontakt. And the file it thinks it's missing is 'Kontakt.nicnt'. Any ideas? I tried the obvious thing of navigating to where the created .nicnt is, but that doesn't work. It seems to be looking for a nicnt called 'Kontakt'

Well the message is fairly clear, it seems to me, but why you're getting that seems a bit strange ! It's basically saying that it thinks the nicnt file in your Ethera Gold - Intimate vocals library folder is called Kontakt.nicnt which in turn implies that the library was installed with a nicnt file of that name in the folder. This is surely not the name Zero-G gave it, so someone changed it along the way. If you don't have that library at all, then it must have been thrown away, as Kontakt needs to be pointed at a library folder to install it in the first place. If you HAVE got the the library, then you should check the nicnt file in it to see if its OK and what its name is. Whatever, you're probably going to want to re-install the library.
Oh… and if it was my app here that generated the nicnt file with Kontakt as the library name then you didn't follow the instructions ! The app uses the library's folder name (by default) so you would have been in a folder called "Kontakt" probably !

On 10.11.6 when I try to run the app that I moved to Application from the opened dmg, it gives me this error message:
“NICT Creator” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

This is completely normal for Mac apps not purchased through the App Store.

    Open Terminal and enter this:

    xattr -cr /Applications/NICT\ Creator.app

    Press Return, problem solved.

Thanks InTheChips… I couldn't have said it better myself. This is a well known Mac problem since Catalina (or maybe before… the memory's not what it was!).

Ok. So, it worked with the Terminal code. It's the first time I had to use this code on El Capitan though.

Now I could test the app and I found that same issue that DarkKnight posted. And it happened because in the created nicnt file the RegKey line is incorrect. It should contain the library's name and not the word "Kontakt".
Please, change it in the app, afterwards it will do the job correctly.

Edit: I deleted the comment about the prompt window reapearing as it was only because I clicked the button to create nicnt for another library. My bad. So, this part worked for me normal.

(pardon me for this question: is the app's name intentionally misspelling NICNT (to NICT) that appears correctly in the icon of the app?)

There is something wrong. I tried to create nicnt for a library (Swing! Library) and with Kontakt 5.6.0 it says after a few seconds of spinning beachball "No library found" when I tried to add library.
I thought the template you use for creating the nicnt is wrong. Maybe. However, I was comparing it with other libraries' .nicnt that work and found an nicnt identical (except the name and SNPID), even the <HU> and <JDX> are the same with that library which is troublesome I think, that was "Voices Of The Wind - Adey" which was only the nicnt file I downloaded from sistersite long ago (for unknown reason). So, Kontakt 5.6.0 added that Adey file with no issues.
Why your created nicnt causes beachball is a mystery.
Of course, I can use the Kontakt script from sistersite but having problem in Kontakt 5.6.0 with home-made nicnt is strange.
I tried so many things, modifying lines, removing HU and JDX, removing other things, nothing. Only when I replaces the header and footer part of the nicnt with something I used for home-made nicnt files, Kontakt accepted to add the library but oddly the created .xml in Service Center was lacking the parts from the nicnt that should be there.
Try to find a template that is more compatible with Kontakt 5.6.0.

@jazzzz Thanks for the feedback. I may or may not have called the app NICT, but it's probably just a typo. Just change it, if it bothers you ;)
As it happens, I have Swing! library so I thew away the existing nicnt file and created one with my app, creating a wallpaper at the same time, just to see. Launched Kontakt 6 and it works just fine for me with the file I created and the wallpaper. The wallpaper makes no difference anyway as you can use any png file you like, so long as it's called "wallpaper.png".
So I can't reproduce your problem, and I suspect it comes from elsewhere. The nicnt produced by my software are just fine !

Did you remove the .xml and .plist files, too, before re-adding that Swing library?
And did you add it with 5.6.0?
Because I can add any kind of library with other method but it's important that with the old Kontakt app should also work.

Yes and yes… but I only use 5.6 for adding.

Thanks for that jazzzz. I went looking through the nicnt for anything but I missed the RegKey.

Since KiTTY's Kontakt Library Scripts,no need anymore for K 5.x to add libraries on Mac...

Well, you're technically right, with that new tool, as I said above, I also managed to add that mentioned library but I have the feeling that KiTTY's tool can add anything even with errors/irregularities that Kontakt can revenge in a certain situation afterwards.
Just the fact that I was trying to add a simple type of library (actually I did it with a made-up one, too) that had no specific criteria, it was not an NI library, not something that needs a specific code to run. And the template that Fred Bloggs uses to create the .nicnt file is not compatible with the basic method.

Perhaps people have to move on and just use KITTY's tool and forget about the old Kontakt. But in this case that new Kontakt releases will have to contain that tool instead of the old Kontakt app.
