Hello guys, terribly when updating loopcloud 6.0 it doesn't let you use your personal libraries anymore unless you pay, does anyone have the 5.3.9 installer? Someone could upload it to the site brother, cheers

 

Yeah, I've accidentally updated to 6.0 and realized it doesn't allow importing personal libraries anymore. I've activated free 30 days trial for "Artist" plan and see how it goes. So far so good. But I was unpleasantly suprised when I saw these new restrictions.
I will check if I have v5 installer somewhere in my backups and PM you.

P.S. There was an update somewhere in v4 where Loopcloud had all features unlocked as a paid user app. They pulled it off quickly and replaced it. But it was fun using it while it lasted lol

 

they force you to pay and that is not right, before I paid when I needed it, now you have to pay obligatorily, in the sister site is version 5.0 but it would be nice to have version 5.3.9 with bug fixes, anyone has it? anyone knows if it is saved in any Windows directory? Regards

I think Sononym it's a much better alternative.

 

ive had version 6 for a while now customer service gave it to me. I havent had any issue adding my own samples only thing i cant do is use the points that were given out when it first came out it says i need a subscript.

Well, I wouldn't say 'better' - but different, yes. Loopcloud has 8-track arranger built in which may be very handy for quick loop arrangements etc. Sononym has it's own strong points too.
I use both, though

 

Oh I see, it doesn't allow "new" imports. Well, I guess I already have enough samples in there already anyway

so everyone on here that updated to version 6 cant import user libraries?Because i have version straight from loopcloud and i can import all my samples on my laptop and my desktop maybe mine was a beta? I was having issues with 5. whatever a couple months ago so they sent me version 6.If you have a problem i use facebook messenger to contact them its alot faster to get responses.

 

Y'all should have backed up your local.db, archive.db, and tag.cache. it still analyses because of the new algorithm but you can leave it on pause and still able to use the find similar function.

Gosh, I'm so glad that I didn't really drawn into being used to this one. That damn bait and switch is in full effect.
Big Fish's Momentum would be a good alternative to Loopcloud.

 

I thought i had read that you can't add your own sample folders in Momentum ... i could be wrong ofcourse...

 

Momentum you can drag your own samples into it and use them but you can't library folders like loopcloud.Adsr has one but loopcloud has more features but it seems they have become money hungry because the plugin has been free for 5 versions.I have version 6 but im still able to install my libraries so I won't be updating at all perfectly fine with what I have.Without the library feature to me loopcloud is useless!
