[Solved] VPS Avenger w/o installing/having installed the whole Factory Library?

    who on earth does want u to install 6+GB of factory Library, i wont need?
    I want to try to sound design a bit in Avenger?

    Do i need the whole Library or just specific files from it? Like Nexus for example with the 0TestTone.nxs?

    There is the file VPS_Avenger_Factory_content_R5.avengercontent and like nexus 2 you have to import this file and avenger extract all. I think you have to install the factory library because it has samples etc ...

    After importing the entire Avenger content every avxp expansion is located in C:\ProgramData\HOWEVER YOU CALLED IT\expansions.
    Just delete the Factory.avxp folder and inside Avenger go to the content section, right click on the expansion you would like to delete and that's it.

    all right but he asked if he has to install the factory library to be able to play .. I use avenger and many presets etc. use the samples that are contained in the file VPS_Avenger_Factory_content_R5.avengercontent
    if he then deletes the files I don't think he will be able to play any sound

    Afaik there are no expansions around that require any other expansion to be installed. Further expansions do have their own content, there are no prerequisits. The result he wants is to save space without being forced to use the default stuff. 6GB is not that much, but if he's in need of saving that, ok.

    I've just tested it myself and it works fine, no errors so far in any other expansion, I'll keep you guys posted if anything changes.

    Simple and clear: You dont need any of the libraries.
    You can do sound design with Avenger, using It's Oscillators and /or dropping a wav into one of the oscillators.
    It's easy and intuitive.

    Wow well done Manuel Schleis, so i waste 6,5GB on my SSD with sounds i will never use, in order to sound design with Avenger?! :rolling_eyes:

    okay thanks, my question is, what can i delete from all this bigger sample files. i want simple use the normal synthesis features, no multisamples or stuff, so sample folder is totally waste of space for me.

    Okay i solved it, i can delete in the factory folder:

    drumkits and the samples folder, this will remove 4,14GB and Factory is then only ~600MB, maybe i compress it to, so i could get down to even more.

    im pretty sure Avengers scans for specific files, so that one could reduce the size needed even more.
