waveform - transient, which track?

    so lets say i have 50 tracks making that waveform

    what would be a quick way to identify which of my tracks is causing that transient? am not even sure if its called transient on the waveform...but that thing

    At that zoom step it's a normal peak, not a transient.

    I'd say just have a look at your mixer's peak indicator and you'll find the source(s).

    as avenger says, in most cases it should make the peak hold LED stop at that point

    another way how to find out where it comes from would be to make a loop around it and then solo through all tracks/channels ... if your application allows that without too much hassle.

    however, unless you want to remove the click, there is no reason to process that individually; a "safety limiter" for example would care for that on the sum as well.
