    WARNING:: OFF Topic

I'm just Lamenting over my Divorce From Logic in 2008 when they moved from PC at 5.5.1

Logic used to do some nifty things. I really miss the Loop> Turn Loop to real copies

    and the split/demix by notes

    really Fucking nifty

    Incredible easy In Reaper:
    - Use the "Dynamic Split" option to create the slices.
    - Then use the "Render to File" option to render all slices as separate audio files.

If you don't have Reaper, you can download it as a fully functional non-expiring trial here:

    Hope this is helpful !

That's a fluffy-tiger Reaper fanboy for you... :bleh:

Nah, not really. Reaper rocks for these kind of things.
Another killer tool for automating/batch audio operations is dbPowerAmp. But this is just a shot in the dark, I have no idea if it could do what the OP wants.

Sound Forge can do this, try "Auto region" then "Extract regions".

After the "auto" operation you can manually adjust the split points. Of course you can manually set up points (using markers, hotkey 'm') and then "Markers to Regions" and finally the extract.

Saying something could work in Reaper is uuuuumh.. like cheating!!:guru::rofl:

Ofc it can be done in Reaper (..have no idea how , but.. yeah!)

@ArticStorm, you can do it in Live too. You have to make a sampler preset in UserLib>Default>Slicing and apply that preset during slice to new midi track. Afterwards you get the files directly from zones. You probably already know this.. if not just let me know and I'll write down the steps. :)

i have found this solution already (look first page), but Ableton cant detect the transients, because these are not to great in the recordings.

So you think XXXXX can't be done in reaper?
    1. Look in the documentation
    2. If it's not there, program your own plugin with reaJS
    3. Not enough? Sweat not, you can always program a Reaper extension in JS itsef, Lua, Python and even C++ if you are into BDSM
    4. You wanna it to even make your coffe? Enter the reaper SDK
