Just few hours ago, Dirk Ulrich revealed some new development news.

In 2 days we will get bx_limiter True Peak,
In May we will get AMEK 9099 channel strip,
In June we will get Bx_Vocalstudio (Auto-tune Pro & Auto-key alternative)

and new Reverb plugins coming soon.

All date confirmed by PA CEO Dirk Ulrich.


Combining the previous information, I think KNIF SOMA will also come soon, perhaps in July or August.

For other brands, the tide of new plugins is a dumping, but when a company can achieve such results, it should become a role model for others.

E.g. Slate digital. every year, every one new plugin.

 

If the hype around their limiter is true, it will be a very useful plugin.

man i got high expectations for that true peak limiter, they built the hype - they better provide it too!

most limiters break up easily on trap/hip hop or any other genre that really bass focused heavy, if it will be able to compete with Fabfilter L2 and Ozone 9 they will have some good money on their hands with it.
in those bass heavy genres, the ultra-hyped Softube Weiss Limiter/Maximizer falls apart and break up easily like an ice cream on a hot day.... so im hoping the hype Plugin Alliance built is true...

I highly recommend you watching the beta test video from different users in their FB group.
So aggressive sound.
But I still using FG-X now, it's very useful.

 

Every limiter will eventually "fall apart", especially when you feed it the bass heavy, lower mids saturated trap material. There is a physical limit on how much you can reduce the dynamics of a track before it turns into a mess, because limiters are technically dynamic waveshapers.

I wonder why there is hype around the fact that PA finally adds an essential true-peak funtion to it's mediocre limiter? I take this for granted in 2021 and wouldn't pay extra for such a base feature.

Speaking of the Autotune thing: there was the superb and very affordable Crispy Tuner, which PA/Brainworx (same company really) eventually bought. My guess: they want to sell us the exact same plugin (except for maybe new GUI?) for a multiple of the original price?

True, my bad! DS Audio Thorn is already represented through Plugin Alliance and Tantra 2 will be added later.

 

It will turn to full vocal suite includes delay,reverb,etc.
And, we all know after 15 or 18 months, price will drop to $49.99.

 

How do you know they've just taken their old limiter algorithm and added a true peak function, versus building a completely new plugin with all new algorithms?

I'd be interested to know whether you are basing that on hard evidence you've seen, or whether it's just something you've made up/assumed?

 

For as long as I can remember I receive almost each day an e-mail from them, I've asked once if they couldn't create mail preferences in your account, because I don't want to miss the monthly voucher for example but aren't that interested (anymore) in their daily/weekly deals or new tools. If I really want to buy something again there are still enough sale periods available through the year. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. What do you guys think of this and also about receiving so many mails? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate their way of marketing when it comes to buying for cheap prices but still. This seems overkill to me, and already receive enough mails from all developers combined.

Well, some of their plugins are buggy and actually abandoned at this state(several to degree "not usable" at all), and bug reports completely ignored.
Also they prevent some of their developers to release immediate fixes, only in bulks or/if they decide that it's is worth it.(example: Unfiltered Audio made several fixes for their plugins but since they are under PA, PA just decided not to). BTW some of Unfiltered Audio plugins are broken to this day, great right?
