...i scroll back through my old VST's , and every 3 years or so i try to re-install Hypersonic 2 . Back in the Win XP days this was my most wanted Rompler and i was a paiiiiiin to get it running in older Fruity Loops.
So this year i tried it again, just for fun,. Turn out Hypersonic 2 runs flawless on my Win 10 / FL Studio 20 . It seems that bridge mode in FL really solved some issues and getting all Win redistributables makes it easier.

(Arcticstorm : Hypersonic is discontinued for years now, no neeed to revive it.) << this plugin is really important to me, as i can reproduce the sound of Rick Ross Producer Cardiak Flatline and some Sounds of early the Jahlil Beats . I since havent found these particular sounds on any other rompler, or maybe im just too lazy to scroll through 30000 nexus presets or even make my own :))))

Whats your story with Hypersonic 2 ? Let me know

Even without having used it a lot is the only x32 plugin I really miss.
For peace of mind reasons I decided to go full x64 a couple years ago and some other hard rules but Hypersonic 2 is great.

actual today i downoaded the DELERiUM release from 2005 and wanted to try it.
As im at the moment sampling some 90s sounds, so i guess it might some of these nice sounds too im after.

to bad HS2 was discontinued before getting a cool 64bit vst version.

And no you are not old. The problem is the stuff in N3 is way to much processed and to modern. Thats my perspective, its away to much from what im looking and wanting.

I came to final conclusion, Soundwise the 80s and 90s, from their material were best in terms of sampling, actual synth sounds. i mean in some most of the stuff they did kind of ground breaking and new and this ended in some cool sounds ...

    My Story with HS2:
OKay i remember my first time opening HS2, i never touched HS1, actual i couldnt find any cool sounds in it, it was just mehh - i wanted SuperSAWS and EDM sounds of 2002-2004 and HS2, well disappointed. recently i realized, the folks at around this time all sampled drum sounds and stuff from this area and were pretty awsome in processing it, making it f*cking awsome.
And this makes it for me now really exciting to redo this on my own for myself ...

    -------------------------------------------
    @PrettyPurdie Yes its ArticStorm
@Smoove Grooves - it actual comes from ART - somewhat the Storm of Art and this got to the name @ArticStorm somehow, i dont know really - how i came to conclusion to pick it up, it sounded great for me.

I thought he misspelled Arctic but it wasn't that either. I'll leave it up to him whether he wants to explain it or not. Not that it's such a secret but I don't like making decisions about how much other people should know about someone that isn't me.

Exactly what ArticStorm said those new sounds are great in overall volume but there is a certain harshness to sounds that came with the 2000's (my theory is, many Producers used Cubase which has its own harshness when you drive it)
So yeah, i really do appreciate Samples/Material that was made in the late 90's , the lushness, the warmth and the care took into each sound is what makes old Plugins interesting for me again too :)

? Yes, we were using Cubase and Logic.
But neither would I want to "drive" in any way at all! It's not an anaolgue desk! lol.
Do you think Raw Like Sushi and Return Of The Mack were harsh sounding #1 albums?

...hmm.....i think Return of The Mack was the ''Smells like teen Spirit'' of this year but the harshness i mean comes mostly from HipHop in the early 2000s . Its very hearable in 2000s german HipHop like Kollegah or Aggro Berlin. But again, compaired to you guys im really just a noob , i dont even have the right vocabulary to explain my thoughts :guru:

it was probably the change from analog to digital desks (of that time)
that you hear and not the sequencers of that time. since cubase vst (mostly midi)
was the last one with a somewhat distinct sound.
But sx and nuendo for that matter where a huge jump in quality
+ adda where quite a bit better(cheaper/affordable) too.

After all of these years, I finally get it. I always thought it was misspelled as well. Sorry about that @ArticStorm !

Exactly. Because audio capabilities hadn't happened in sequencer 'daws' yet! haha.
So why I mentioned those two albums is because my friend produced one of them and wrote for both of them too.
And Cubase didn't have multi-track audio in '89 for Neneh's album, and even in '96 it was only used for sequencing on the Mark Morrison album.
So I was hoping to mention what you've just said if my question was responded to!

Just wanted to join the party.
I never thought it was misspelled but I always was wrong
Arctic in my native tongue is pretty similar to Artic. Also I first read his nick ages ago when my English was quite worse.
Like in AZ in 2009? Man, I feel old... wait. I am old!!:suicide:

I can never part ways with my CamelAudio stuff. I keep some 32 bit plugins on hand still, some freeware stuff too. Even some really shitty stuff, but somehow I just love it and can't part ways with it.

I think i found a wonderful replacement for HS2, man the Zenlology Pro by Roland, damn it. It also includes the complete Collection for the XV'series, JD800, SH-101 and the Z-Core.

i like the way how all these Roland plugin sound, their thinness, thats what i hate about the modern plugins and romplers the most, the sounds are to massive, to harsh, to much bend to the extremes.

if i want to get sound extrem i slam some plugins on them, but most of the time i dont want that ...

how many presets had HS2 and what kind of presets?

i have complete Alchemy installed, but i always hated how bad it scans for presets (legit version, which i bought before the f*ckers sold to Apple), but it had indeed some great sounds in it.

I might install HS2 and bridge, Nexus2 worked fine bridged for years.

Sorry, I missed that part. Must be time for my software update.

I was on my way out so I skimmed and didn't get a chance to pay too much attention to detail.

I only dabbled with the Alchemy app on a tablet but I did like it for what it was. I've had problems running alchemy on my computer years ago so I haven't tried it synths then.

I deleted all the Nexus stuff from my pc entirely, it's just not the type of rompler I need. But some of the Vengeance sample packs are still decent. HG synths can be so cool, I agree with that. Some are gems even.

I mean I still hold onto stuff that was probably shidded together with synth edit haha!

Hi, I'm new here today btw, so hi everyone :) I have joined as I am desperate for the pre-takeover factory soundbank from Camel Audio Alchemy, pre-2015. Can anyone help? I don't have much but I would pay someone for their trouble.
