I'd say the price for these is a bit steep when you can have great pair of Dynaudio, Focal, or Adam monitors, plus a pair of Yamaha's for the same price. Or maybe I'm just too old school? I do like things I'm familiar with. I can't help it. :/

I appreciate the fact they have a front bass reflex port that's useful in more than one way [:P], and the dual/concentric drivers usually sound great. I heard a couple of different Tannoy's... 8" and 12" mastering grade ones and loved them. Great imaging, less phase problems than the usual separate speakers designs.

Since I haven't heard them, I'd refrain from any recommendations, but the technical design is really good. I would like to hear them before jumping to any definite conclusions, though.

I read one review that felt that these were not wonderful for a professional commercial studio as they were way too forgiving. They are more akin to hifi speakers.
