Hi everyone,

new to this forum so please bear with me
Downloaded Omni 2.6.4c from sister site and everything is working great, except I can't use the Hardware Synth Integration function. The so-called Hardware Profiles (when I press on the "HW" button) just don't show up. In every demo I watched, all the Profiles should be there right away but the list in there is just empty and only "None" is ticked.
Also tried another version 2.6.0e from another user, but still have the same issue and have been on it for a good while now. Probably something rather basic that I'm missing?

Haven't found a solution to this in any other thread, but this feature would be extremely useful so I'm really hoping someone could possibly point me in the right direction?

Please let me know if further info is needed.

I can open it now and look. maybe help. what synth are you using?

from the patch browser, File Directory, all, check Hardware Library. that work?


then you need to link the synth from the HW button. or do that right away normally...

I'm using a Prophet Rev2.
Tried figuring it out again today, but only partially successful. I do see the HW Profiles (Access Virus A, Access Virus B, Clavia Nord Lead 1, etc.) now, but when I click on it nothing happens. I also don't have a Hardware Library as you mentioned. My Omni Library is 85.6 GB.

Any idea what's wrong?

 

Fixed it!

To anyone with a similar problem: The Pirate's 2.6.0 version from sister site is what worked for me. Install all three (Software, Soundsource and Patches), that'll hopefully fix it.

oh, I bought it when it first came out after seeing people have lots of installation problems, so I don't honestly remember installing the Hw profiles separately from just the normal updates Spectrasonics puts out.
Glad you got it sorted without it being too complicated. it can get that way fast ;/

So you did not have HW Integration working before? I don't see many people discuss it. If I was an Omnisphere user, I would buy one of the supported synths even just to use with Omnisphere. It's that nice. It's been more reliable and faster to me than Midi Learning all those controls and putting them onto a controller in a thoughtful way.

Omnisphere Hardware Integration is as close to using a Virus TI as it gets with the supported synths. Spectrasonics and Access Music should work out something with the Virus Control plugin for Catalina and greater. Clearly Spectrasonics would have the resources to do it. Omnisphere linked to a Virus is already as good or better performance than Access' plugin.
