Hi. First off, thanks for the site and the forum. Great resource. Now, I'm running Kontakt 5.0.2 on my MBP 10.8.5 and it's running beautifully. I'm trying to upgrade to 5.1 or 5.2 to take advantage of the latest libraries. The problem I'm running with is that when I upgrade to either of them, it changes to Kontakt Player and I can only use it as a plugin in my hosts (Logic, Garageband, Logic Pro XI. The standalone version just won't work. The libraries I have seem to work fine. Anything I missed or anything I need to do in order for the standalone app to work in my system? Thanks in advance.

 

you have to reset permission to use standalone and it will open.... click on the kontakt player icon when you open in your DAW and it should say full version. if not, you'll have to start from scratch. also, make sure if you re-install you completely wipe out any trace of kontakt- including rtas ect...

permission reset should do it though...

Thanks for the tip! I removed my kontakt 5.02 including all plugins. Installed 5.2 and also repaired disk permissions afterwards. Still the same issue. Kontakt Player appears on my DAW and says full version. However the standalone app doesn't run.

When you said permission reset you meant repair disk permissions or am I missing something? I appreciate your help.
