However after checking out the "best of witch house 2018" my joy seems short lived?

Yea, like in every genre, there's good and there's bad))

FYI, my favorite bands are ic3peak, crim3s, Crystal Castles, Salem, not all of : Bl▲ck † Ceiling (Blvck Ceiling), Sidewalks and Skeletons, not all of : KI††Y C▲T (Kitty Cat). But I think there's pretty much the only "listenable" bands from witch house)) cause the others are way to dark for me... And I like quite dark music))

And in some mixes on YT, there's sometimes not professionnals musicians, so quality isn't really there. It's not a think that pros are better about quality, etc. But, there really deep sh.. in YT mixes sometimes )) and it tends to be amateurs tracks.

I'm surprised to see grimes or fever ray in this genre, I don't think it's witch house.
