Help identifying a Sample CD

    Hey guys,

    Im trying to find the name of a sample CD that pre-dates 2007

    The samples I do have from this pack all start with "TM" (Examples Below)

    TM_frankensaw c2.wav
    TM_flam jam 139.wav
    TM_dubwar 140.wav
    TM_echo chamber 140.wav
    TM_filter frenzy 140.wav
    TM_Fx_dirty organ.wav

    Ive had a look around but cant seem to find much online, if anybody can help me out that would be great!

    sould seek is worth a try, you can search directly for filenames and then if you are lucky, it would show u a user, who has the exact names files.

    @Ayahuasca @ArticStorm I searched for the names and sadly no matches. II wonder how else it could be found. Always intersting! Some of these older samples or akai sample CDs got surprisingly good stuff.

    yeah the old stuff has great material in it. also original stuff.
    as i serached through vengeance and older dance sample packs, i noticed they some of the newer ones had the same samples in it, just equed - a lot of the vengeance stuff even identical ones.

    i guess people just take stuff from older sample cds and EQ and resell it. Or sample it from records like vengeance did in the first VEC's

    you could try to google the filenames, this worked for with a vocal pack - the name was very generic VOICE_073.wav and i found the whole pack - as i tried to find this a few days ago, i had no luck.

    maybe this works, otherwise there is no chance that you find out the sample pack.

    Where got the samples from?

    They are from a friends computer who died, he seemed to really like this pack so I wanted to try and get hold of it

    I tried to google the names but had no luck

    Yes some of the older sample packs are the greatest, im hunting down quite a few for my collection :)

    ohh sad to hear about the friend :/ maybe you can keep the files in your collection and always when you use them you can think on him.

    yeah was worth a try.

    i hope you saw the topic about the old sample cds a few weeks ago, there were a lot posted in the topic -- internetarchive one, but maybe you have them already.

    which are also good are the Zero-G Creative Elements series.

    Kinda on topic, google advanced operators for sample hunting. try example: snare,wav "parent directory" -cd -debian -linux
    replacing strings to find whatever. nice for finding unindexed sites and other things.

    @Ayahuasca, maybe some Zero-G ones you are looking for are here: https://archive.org/download/90ssamplecds

    There are some good ones from the time period anyway.

    I managed to grab this but they were labelled “TOMM_C_SCHOOLRAVESTAB_C2.wav” etc unfortunately, thanks for the help tho :)

    Worth a try. I saw on Soulseek one of his CDs (Dub Bass House) with files such as "TM2_125_Blippy_Beat.wav". I was hoping it'd be one of those. The search continues....
