I am wondering why all these people are desperate to have this Nexus release even if is they have been told that there is possibility to steal your personal data. At the end it is not working then they come back craving for help, like they have not been warned about this release.
You have Avenger synth, Spire, Sylenth1 , Serum, Omnisphere, Nexus 2 and a lot of soft-synths, why is this release still alive?

Has anyone got the presets working on Mac OS for reFx NEXUS 3 available on the sister site? The AU works fine but can't see any presets which makes it pretty useless for the time being.

I am on Mac OS Catalina (Intel processor)

Any workarounds?

we need to avoid the newer packs until someone figures out how to crack an updated version or backwards engineers this. for now it either doesn't work or has other side effects.

 

Yes, it works if you follow the directions. The library container folder needs to be renamed to Nexus Library and placed in the Applications folder of your mac.

nexus is much more for hip-hop producers who want to make something like miami bass or 80s kind of songs
the only plugins you can really compare with nexus are Diva, repro and other ones from u-he, the majority of the plugins that you mentioned is more usable in edm (except ominsphere and nexus 2)

 

I'd say omnisphere also does the job but in reallity it doesnt, too manny presets for poor organization, and I persoanlly dont like the way that the majority of omnisphere preset sounds, the samples are pretty good

 

omnisphere has too many garbage presets for ambient music producers and film scorers instead of catering to its main audience which is electronic and hip hop producers. unfortunately, most producers don't have a clue about sound design and can't realize the full capability of omnisphere with its soundsources, granular synthesis etc and end up cracking/ buying omnisphere banks which are the same 20 sounds with different reverbs etc. I would use nexus to flesh out my idea and lay it down then replace it with an omnisphere sound I made or a preset which I can have more control over.

I have downloaded the 170gb files too I'm just about to install now

 

omnisphere main selling point is not really the presets but the rare sampled stuff and high quality sound that you can shape the way you want

Should the Preset folder be placed in the same folder as the 170gb file?
Should the folder be called Nexus Library or Nexus Content
I will then change .json file to point o the nexus Library?

definitely agree with that last line, but the audioz poll shows that most producers that crack stuff are electronic and hip hop producers. that's why i was generalizing. totally fine if u don't agree with me but that's just how i see it. even more with how many hip hop producers use the same in memorium or whatever preset. hip hop producers see their favourite youtube channel or producer using omnisphere and think "i need this plugin" without exploring their stock plugins which are already pretty good
