Hyper-V is probably the fastest when Virtualizing windows and it's pretty much necessary for Windows containers. One thing about Hyper-V is that it's not exactly the easiest to use, and it's geared towards server administrators.

However, the tech behind it is in use in other virtualization techniques in Windows. For quick and easy setup you can't beat Windows Sandbox. If you want to use Linux, then WSL2 is good, and probably the easiest to set up for that. And a niche case maybe, but things like BlueStacks (an Android VM for Google Play apps) use Hyper-V as the backend.

Virtualbox is good and fairly simple to use, VMWare is probably the best all-rounder (multiplatform with multiple guest OS support, fast and so on)

+1 for Workstation Pro seems much better than Virtualbox for me at least.
