It should behave the same way as the original. But also, the fact that has been obfuscated doesn't say anything good.
Sure, that doesn't mean it must be malicious. But there are too many strange behaviors here...

Calling an AWS server when the original doesn't, the obfuscation... and for some reason, dropping a small file at ProgramData.

 

I don't know that much about coding , dll 's etc. Since it is a amazon service of course it is legit, but since it is obfuscated maybe sends some info to remote VM cloud and collects the data and who knows. And because of that it is fishy, so this might be a virtual COVID19 from China.

if those ip don't have a weird behavior, i think it can be some sort of virtual enviroment to load the (probably heavy processing) plugin, to make it lighter than the legit one

I disabled the Network Adpator and tried to play these presets, only 3 worked, same thing with other sessions, I re-opened the vst and it still didnt work, so I closed the vst, Enabled Network Adaptor and re-opened it, now it plays just fine, strange asf

 

what if, the crack was posted by reFX themselves, and has some backdoor that will report back with full personal data of anyone that been using it illegally, so that reFX can sue us and make more money. It's like forcing us to buy whether we want it or not.

also, seens that deleting the file that it creates on programdata causes some of the presets to double (like the "Cashout Time" Bell)

 

I have read latest comments that some presets are not working without internet, so it might be that someone has cracked then emulated private cloud service so plugin can run over that cloud service ,but for sure there must be some trade of, with who knows what.... Since cloud service cost money I don't believe that there is come good guy who will pay for services just for good cause . FISHY !Not recommended for use.
Maybe reFX themselves makes this bullshit to tease cracking groups.

Those presets were probably made with Nexus 2.2 and probably need to be converted first using their reFX Cloud service.
Which for me seems to point at the 147.75... IP, but never the AWS IP.

 

But by doing what? Cutting router or cutting the wifi connection on the machine?
Some warez do need a working network card just to ping back to the machine itself or something.
Which is why I am being specific, especially as you didn't witness it dialling out when you tried the presets.
I am not doubting that they didn't work when you changed whatever you changed.

Exactly what I thought. Yesterday I dug some more and apparently the chinese folks group bought majority of these expansion packs. Maybe the same folks are running this private server so the program can work. I have investigate more when I'm on my computer.
