Heavy music is exactly what's stopping it's fans from killing themselves, so there's that. Otherwise metalheads would have to intervene between the TV trying to kill the radio star so they could both stay dead.

but that queen of all time build up and drop and later the guitar solo is beyond everything imho.

 

Then check out the stuff on the youtube list I compiled, it has all the Doom, Death-Doom, Funeral Doom, Stoner Rock, Sludge, Doom Blues etc, that you could ever want.

Every band has their own take on how it should go but it's a great bunch of genres to explore, especially if you have tree.

These I've posted in this thread are some of my all-time favorites from these styles which I've been into for close to a decade now. Enjoy man, some great music here. It's very down tempo, often reaching dreadful levels of slow tempo which gives it deeply heavy, fuzzy & weighty tones.

When I say they strike chords that are heavy as all fuck then I really mean it, heavier than death or black metal. Just a lot slower, it might take some getting used to if you're into more upbeat music which isn't as heavy or often sound depressing.

But on the flipside of that, they are have far more groove because of the slower tempos. Funkier & groovier on the Blues side of the Doom genres too. Funeral Doom is the most melodic & depressing out of all of them. Sludge is heavier, fuzzier & more aggressive of the bunch. Doom itself can stick to the heavier format or get a little more progressive like the 2 I linked.

You really don't have to smoke or drink to love it but if you do when you listen it will be an entirely different experience. It's very emotive music with lots of feel & weight.
These musics will help you get on marijuanas.

As far as I can tell, Black Sabbath gave birth to Doom. Still one of my favorite bands too.
