And for me "song" It's a matter of definition ... How do you define "song" ?
If you mean "song" with a singer, drummer, bass player and guitar player so I don't think so.
I think it is electronic music, that combines a lot of styles. and that's why you can call it what you want 8)

I guess i just started wondering.. today.. if a song, has to have singing in it.. and.. if people actually listen to this type of music like they would 'songs' or if its for a video game or something.

As a mix, it works, its clear, its well done.. I just don't see many people like.. buying something like this to put on an Ipod, or if there is a market for it.

Do not take it personally dude but it sounds like you're stuck in the nineties if you ask something like this,
but you should update a bit, I believe you will be surprised to find out some very strange styles that have a market.

I dont think I'm stuck anywhere, I'm pretty up to date with most genres, I don't.. care.. for them.. but I am aware.

The 90's sucked for music anyway, If I'm stuck anywhere, Its inside, 'real music' with vocals, melodies, guitars, chord progressions.

Traditional music will outlive any trend I believe.

I have my own Soundcloud by the way..I do find a lot of funky genres on there, and altho I see people listening, I have to wonder who is selling any of this 'music'

I'm not saying ur music is bad, It's good, for what it is, I just have a hard time imagining it being that popular, even in 2011. I realize there are a lot of strange, different, original styles now, but..different, strange etc.. doesn't necessarily mean good. What i do hear and see is a LOT of repetitive 2 and 4 bar repeated loops, glitched up, automated, filtered, beat dropped and repeated for 3-5 minutes, a lot of copy pasting, by 'producers' people that can't even play an instrument or know a C from an Am... But know how to open Fruityloops.

I actually think u have talent, which is more than I think for a lot of garbage I've heard, I just don't care for the style I guess.

Well, let's be flexible....
People play and music/ sound come.
Some are happy with chord progressions and a traditional approach other with minimal glitched tunes.
To be mainstream is another matter.
Sound can be so provocative !!!!
All it's possible
I enjoy the vibes of One Reason's tunes
also I had a nice time with SoulSpin music.
And personally as hobbyist I enjoy so much with the loud and the wrong from the box!!!

 

To give review you should not be stuck anywhere.
And when you give review on my music sure you do not have to be stuck in "real music 'with vocals, melodies, guitars, chord progressions"

SoulSpin I had a long msg written bu8t the internet lost it. Anyway I listened to the first 4/5 tunes and loved em, great energy, like Infected Mushroom on steroids. Plenty of changes within tracks to keep me interested.
One problem... what are the distorted guitars? They sound pretty bad IMO, so sterile, flat and lifeless.

I like it. You are creating and getting your music out there which is good, music is about expression nothing more, ive been into all kinds of stuff through the 80's and 90's up until now, like it all electronic, like bands, classical, i try not to limit myself at all by any genre. Keep going
