Has anyone heard about this new Sample Logic library?

To be honest I have a few of their libraries but they can be a bit hit and miss (their customer service has definitely been miss on all fronts for me). Bizarrely during their promo period it cost about $50 more to upgrade than it did to buy it from new! How's this for rewarding customer loyalty?

For this price I am not sure it's worth it, so will await a review from the likes of either Sounds and Gear or Daniel James before any plunge. If anyone else can chime in meanwhile - would be interested.

    Hi Satorious,

This version of Morphestra Generations is the same as Morphestra released in 2009.

You better try it before you buy. It is available on AudioZ.

Either you´re a complete idiot or mental disabled (I like you the way you introduce yourself with the diving woman etc.) .... but it seems you cant read a simple information!!

It´s completly incorrect informations mate! Period *yes*

The GENERATIONS upgrade is for current MORPHESTRA™ owners only. This upgrade can be purchased as a direct download for $99.99. The GENERATIONS upgrade requires you to download a new 16GB library. Take MORPHESTRA™ to a new generation!

    Quote from SL website:
On the other hand, is it really 'better'? I consider Morphestra the only decent library by SL and now they upgraded it, which may not be only positive (like did ProjectSAM with their 2.1.3 symphobia) *yes*

In association with Kirk Hunter Studios <-- I´ll keep from this library. Kirk Hunter is the worst and messy sample company around ......!

The fact it's only 16GB intrigues me. Correct me if I'm wrong - but I'm pretty sure the original drive which shipped Morphestra was larger than this (I guess the library may contain uncompressed samples whereas Generations might be compressed).

The original drive was 27GB, they released that library during the Kontakt 3.5 generation which did not yet support compressed .ncw files. According to a Google's cached page of Morphestra, the later NCW version was 15GB.

So this library is adding only about 1GB of content, probably a lot of patch tweaks though.

The update is $99 for current Morphestra owners.

Thanks for your replies. Blah Blah Blah..!

Anyway, some people find that Morphestra, included the update, is became obsolete, saw the date of lay online of this product and has already been used by many composers very well known.

During a trip on Asheville, North Carolina, I went to say hello to my friend Joe Trupiano.

We talked about various things, of his daughter Gianna (too cute), and its future projects. It is really super nice this guy.

Nevertheless, he recognized that Morphestra was one of its products, which was selling less well than others. *yes*
