How to emulate the Electo-Harmonix Attack Decay pedal with a VST?

    I have recently become aware of Electo-Harmonix Attack Decay pedal (hardware), mostly the way it can emulate an e-bow for guitar. I have tried some reverse tape plugs and some swell type plugs as well but can't seem to get the sound. I was thinking of how it might be done with a gate as well. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this sound? What I'm hearing in the pedal is a complete silence of the pick noise and a swell and sustain, sort of like a violin.
    Any help would be appreciated.
