I switched from Reaper 32bit to 64bit and scanned my VST folders.
When I try to use Omnisphere, I am getting a Challenge/Response window.
    Any advice.
It sure would suck to have to uninstall and reinstall it.

No need to reinstall how did you register the 32 bit version?

I had it installed for like 2 years.
Too much Puff-n-Stuff = no remember. :dunno:
I suppose somewhere in one of the 6 ISOs and the many update files may lie the answer.

    the key is here:

omnisphere installer not install x32 and x64 together, you need to pick which version...

so just run last update and pick 64bit

All you need it the last update.. 1.5.6D

Run the 64 bit installer and use the Air Keygen... if needed.

Prob is you've only patched the 32bit version previously.

All those updates are useless.. Spectrasonics updates include all past updates in current release.

    No Reason!!!
Have the right answer do what he said.

Nothing to do with updates as the content is the same it is only the dll that is different.

Sometimes you have to reg both 64 and 32 bit plugins i know beacuse i have both on my system.

here is another litlle tip keep all the kg:s in a folder in the Vst folder just in case something happens and you should also have different folders nfor 64bit and 32 bit vst:s as it is kind of annoying to have all those warnings "this is not a vst or this is 64 bit and is not supported bla bla" everytime you scan the vst dir.

I had the same exact problem and it annoyed me to no end. I had registered omnisphere using FL studio but then wanted to switch to Ableton (both 32 bit btw). The problem ended up being that I had done the registration in Fl Studio WITHOUT ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILEGES. So the effect was that any other DAW (besides FL) wouldn't recognize registration. Moral of the story is make sure you have admin privileges for your DAW of choice when you register. Also like previous posters have said, I believe there are two separate dlls for 32 and 64, this is with the latest update of course. I believe if you make sure both are registered, that you should be fine. There's no need to choose to install only one, I have both concurrently installed and all is good.
