live 11 authaurisation cant drag and drop :(

    r2r version, done all as in the instructions but wont let me drop the authaurization file on?? thanks to anyone that can help :)

    If you are running it as administrator, you won't be able to drop files on to it

    Just double clic on the authorization file, it will launch live and authorize it

    the can actual be solved, when you setup an admin account, then you can drag & drop shit, its just when u run an program as admin and your normal account is not an admin account. (microsoft logic)

    If you not run as admin you can edit files - settings, the browser wont work ... so i run it was admin.
    to solve this you can drag the auz file on the Ableton Suite Live.exe, then it should open be authorized.

    by default program like ableton do not as admin.

    this did work for me either as i had this problem.

    so the run as admin box is NOT ticked in properties

    also...

    double clicking the authorize file asks what program to open> ableton > loads > not authaurised. :(

    Different user permission for Explorer (mostly without admin right!) and DAW then drag'n'drop won't work .. Same with samples or midi files!
    If DAW or other software runs without admin right then all is fine.. ^^


    Problem with eg Arturia stuff sometimes the host needs admin rights for saving favorites in plugin library ( programdata\Arturia ).

    FIXED!! its cause i had renamed the authaurisation file!
