    well, let's just create our own fiction since we are already in the humor section.

    some developers (probably related to Trident Audio Development, or other brands they owned or maybe Softube guy) that paid good money to PACE for iLok somehow got angry and called R2R the a-hole for cracking other devs products and releasing it, but still defending their choice to use iLok system because their product aren't cracked yet. And today R2R released the Trident EQ.

    I'm disappointed my version isn't funny at all.

    Well, thanks a lot Alan!! Maybe without needlessly antagonizing very intelligent reverse engineers while pondering about your plugins & tech support future expansion, R2R would probably have kept it internal and released another UJAM plugin for little kidz instead

    I think the real asshole is someone who expects to sell a software EQ the public for 180, wake the fack up my friend ill null it with ProQ3 and the saturation is way sweeter from other developers.

    This should be in Software News, not humor!!!?

    what happened to the Silo Sound Labs ? The website suggests that they aren't in business no more. I'm starting to think these Trident plugins (not the pictures below) are made by Silo and bought back by Trident and marketed as their own "NEW" plugins.

    ahh thanks for clearing.

    But in the picture what @Stevie Dude posted he makes a good explanation and i see his point.

    But the part with the a**hole, well he should have kept it for himself. Ahh and thats the response from R2R.

    I am sure his company now lost trillion $$$, because we all def bought it ... (while i just thought as it was released - ohh another two EQs, my a$$ is anyway full of EQ plugins, which i will never use :deep_facepalm: - but maybe im just a moron?)

    Anyway, im looking forward to iLok sinking and then we see what other new company steps in?

    I still love the protection uhe - urs has come up with, clever and simple and we all know when the last versions were cracked.
    Urs should open a side business, writing protection for smaller audio companies and their plugins. Or look at Sylenth1 v3? no release in ages?
