Is this count as a good news ? I'm not a Cubase user but I like few of their products.

I'm almost certain they figured out something exactly like that.

Not particularly exciting. It is about the already announced licensing system that works without USB eLicenser, now it seems to be implemented. Interesting how this will affect the level of protection of future releases from Steinberg Software.

Sadly this then probably replaces the soft-elicenser, which is great for using a load of other Steiny stuff, so that’s a bugger!

nice then i make monthly accounts like i do for reason+, might need to sync it with reason+ xD

they probably noticed, that we get it done no-matter what? or we just ignore or stay on older versions?!

If now comes Logic for windows (guess the hell will earlier freeze over lol), we would be in heaven i guess

Yeah, hell would freeze before that. Apple effectively shut down multiplatform Logic when they bought Emagic back in the days. Yes, I'm still slightly bitter about that. And now they're focusing on their new platform, adding more disconnect to having it on Windows.

logic for windows won't be a reality... at least not for now (the last windows version, previously, was the 5.5 and it was like 15 years ago)

For me the dongle was never a problem because it worked so well, i actually prefer it over cloud and monthly subscriptions.
If this means you will be able to install pro on two machines then i welcome some changes.

Steinberg have confirmed they are not interested in, and have no plans for, a subscription model.

I think they just want to expand the user base by getting all the illegals onboard, personally... :D
