Drumpads seems to be good but I don't know if there is possible to download sounds from it. I think that it will be much better to find a site where there are drum sound packs, so you can check some reviews and to listen to the sounds, so you would know what to buy or to download for free (if it is possible). Personally I use https://depositphotos.com/music.html, they always have the sounds that I need and not only drums. I pay $19 per month for an unlimited access and I can make music only with their sounds.

Define "good snare sample", because it's all subjective and also relative.
Then create that yourself with sound design, layering, processing, sound synthesis, etc. To me a good snare sound involves the sound of the room, depending on the genre. Sometimes it's hard to get to room sound right, as it can "save/cure" the snare or the song entirely.

Ill share where to find good materials for making snares but honestly if you can't spend the time to find your own you might be wasting your time.

    BWB (check the vault first)
    !llmind
    Deadkujo
    Snare Jordan
    Creep Kit
    PBS Goat Kits
    Beat Butcha

If that fails you just steal the snare from Billie Jean

If you are looking for DJ Premier / Pete Rock / Beatminerz style 90s snares, either chop up real breaks or construct your own. I like to sample from vinyl or from some digitalised vinyl records in lossless formats. Soulseek is a good digital digging tool if you have some knowledge.

There is more to the sound than just finding appropriate sample sources. For example bitcrushing to get the SP12 or MPC 60 timbre, pitching the snare, stacking another sound on top of the snare and many other neat little things.

In fact: any good soft-clipper + lowpass will do.

Decap ish is great for modern boombap, but his drums have a bit too much clipping going on for my taste. Almost no microtransients left =》 fat, but lifeless, like an impressive block of concrete.

There is not much room left for sculpting and mixing, you have to take them as they come, a typical problem with overprocessed drum samples that cater to beginner producers who are susceptible to the "loud is better" delusion.

I will soon release a Boombap & HipHop drum sample pack that doesn't suffer from this problem.
