Man, I love Live

 

So I, uh, backwards engineered the patch for the macOS release on the sister site and have now created a script that patches it automatically. Is that ok, or am I doing some stuff worse than pirating?

 

I'm getting CPU spikes with the Upright piano. Same with other piano VIs that usually run very smoothly on Reaper and S1. This is still 11.0 so i'm guessing 11.1 will improve on resources managing in general.

 

I noticed it right away while using different instruments. I'm sure they will address it in the next update.

 

this is kinda normal to me. This is a bass patch. Tried few more, 4-5% only even the evolving-sounding one. Pad patches though no more than 3%. Im on 64 samples @ 48kHz.

maybe give the specific patch name (and banks) so I can try it here ?

Question : Should I pick Average or Current for metering ? I'm comfortable with the Average setting. And yes, it is distracting, blinking too much.

 

I'm a noob when it comes to overclocking and CPU management. where can I find that settings ? Maybe should note it somewhere when this machine become slower, can boost a little bit there. Im on AMD system as well.

 

A working patch was already made since the first beta. GonBi just stole it and posted it for profit.

 

Oh that's terrible! I'm still gonna post my script here, though. People might find it convenient. Especially when updating. Do tell me to remove this if I must!

Started out on Cubase and Reason years back, but once I got a copy of Live (5) that was that.

Fired up 11 last night, dropped some new packs on it, now got the whole weekend to check it out. Thanks to all involved in bringing us such delights.

 

Where is the "Save current set as default" button? On Live 10 I have it under "preferences - file/folder"
where is it now?

 

If I'm not wrong now it isn't in Preferences.
Now it's on the top bar.
Click:
File -> Save Live Set as Template


Default location of the Template should be:
C:\Users\"Your User Name"\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 11.0\Preferences

just want to report I have to abandon all the works today and go out do a lot of drugs (exaggerating, im kidding) because Live 11 keep crashing a lot. It has a very nice recovery mode that saved all the changes but too much crashing especially when using a lot of M4L sequencers that didn't happen back in the old Live 10 days. CPU is at around 30%, total 12 tracks. Annoying af. Mods, please start a thread where we can complain about this please, like a support group or something. This is depressing.
