I’m a sci-fi fan, trying to remember what movie has this particular scene in it. Here is the little I remember

Scene is outdoors in the antarctic(?), snow falling, old man, explorer (?), possibly not in modern time, with ‘sphere’ in front. ‘sphere’ is either a force field or doorway or time tunnel. man has either walked out or walks in to the sphere, has become old. that’s all I remember

I’m pretty savvy with sci-fi movies but this scene I can’t remember what movie it belongs to. Thanks for any input

Btw, feel free to post other inquiries for movies you can’t remember the name and need to know about

i guess my excuse for not remembering is that even for a fan who is very forgiving with projects as long they have at least a little heart and intent to create something with care this one falls into the garbage basket, not much to save or remember. you must agree though, the first scene could have developed to some imaginative really creative movie..

sadly it belongs to this hollywood-era when "action" or "sci-fi" must include either an all psychopaths casting or just frigid cartoonish depressing characters and themes.

ive had other hard to remember flicks, one of the hardest and greatest was an old horror movie, one of those old re-runs on tv i happen to catch as a child. in-spite of watching it during the day it really left a mark in my memory.

i remembered a women being operated and a creature getting extracted from her body, this creature was the result of her repressed fear! After years i managed to find it again. its called "The Tingler", a great movie indeed. (you can skip to 01:45 to avoid a bit silly intro)

when im at it. i have another one. this one is a difficult, so i dont ask anyone to kill him/herself looking. ive already tried at least 10 years so i have very little hope of ever finding out. its not scifi, watched on tv, could probably be a re-run from the 60s or early 70s, goes like this:

a group of people sit in a regular apartment 6th,7th floor, they sit in the kitchen around small kitchen table, they sit with window to their right. one of them has a rifle and starts to randomly shoot down towards the street, they are not heard because of the city noise?

its all i got.i suspected it could involve walter mathau, went through his filmography but couldn't find anything that lead me to such a scene. then suddenly while writing these post i thought of karl malden! he even looks very similar, i guess ill be loooking through his work, but as said im not sure of more than that picture of the kitchen scene.

    Cheers!

Ah reminiscing. I've got one as well.

Once upon a time, I owned a Video Hire Shop in a distant land. We bought a lot of movies from a friend in another country. After about 12 months, I went through the computer database and every movie in the shop has been hired dozens of times, except one!

I looked on the shelves and found it. It was in a plain white box (VHS) and the cover was an apple (fruit - not computer), with an arrow through it. I don't think it had a title on the cover either.

I took it home and watched it. I turned out to be a Whodunnit thriller. It was a really good movie. The story revolved around a man in a wheelchair and either he or his wife / partner were into archery, I've even forgotten the rest of the story, it was a L O N G time ago. The reason it stands out is because it had such a REALLY bad cover, that's why no one ever took it out. T

    Anyone?

darn! well this gives it much more than what i had, so if its the same movie now we know its the end scene and seems like the movie had this as the main theme even (?) they got away with just doing this insane thing.
seems a bit odd and a bit experimental, could even a be a United Artists production, they made true art and tested all sorts of concepts.

reminds me of something mental like that old movie called the phone-box, i must add it here. a truly out there movie, spanish production from the 70s
