Kontakt is/was made for libraries with real life sampled instruments.
Why would you make electronic music without a synth?
Samples of synth sounds are plenty around in sample packs.
Making EDM with Kontakt is like going on holiday with a great detour I guess.

But maybe somebody knows of a Library that has collected some of these sounds.

PS Maybe is NI Machine an option (never tried it myself so I don't know about possabilities)

use a real synth or the default Kontakt synth engine (which is basically upgraded OG Massive)

You can even use cinematic libraries for a breakdown in an EDM track. So i find the question abit odd to be honest.

I suggest you listen to some demos and then decide what to get from the sister site. Sometimes this even gives inspiration.

But you also should be fine with Massive, Massive X from NI or any other synths like Spire, Zebra, Sylenth1 or whatever you find, it is a lot better for EDM as anything Kontakt based, because more flexible imo.

I would look for other VST's:
    • Sylenth1
    • U-He Diva / Repro 1 +5 / Zebra
    • Spire
    • Massive / Massive X
    • Omnisphere (rompler, sample-based)
    • Vital (A new, epic synth - it's FREE!)
    • Serum
All in all, you can basically make the same sounds with the synths above. It would be some minor differences, but the sound sounds very same. With these synths, you can make your own sound or buy a sample pack - there are tons of quality packs out there at a very good price.

Kontakt is super versatile.. lots of great libraries out there. You *could* definitely use this for making EDM, but I agree with anyone that says "why would you?" There are so many other better options out there for EDM. I think ih8ms' list is pretty good, from the perspect of leads/pads/plucks/etc... and for drums there are some other great options. UJAM (Beatmaker) has some awesome VSTs for simplifying the process of making beats. There's a whole lot of different options out there for drum tools - some realistic ones like Superior Drummer. Ez Drummer or Addictive Drums (which also have electronic kits), to more electronic type stuff like Spark 2, or Nerve (I've never used that one though) or even your DAW's sampler.

I think Kontakt is awesome, but I just don't see it as the go-to tool for EDM style music. Even within the Native Instruments world, I'd say something like Massive / Massive X, Absynth or Super 8 are way better tools. In Kontakt, I suppose you could use Retro Machines for synth stuff.. or even Analog Dreams for some ambient sounds. But yeah, as versatile as Kontakt is, you'll find what you're looking for a lot quicker with other VSTis, imo.

forget about Kontakt libraries if you want to sound original, and not like zillion shitty edm tracks
the whole point of electronic music is to make your own sound,
there is no such thing as "best" everything is subjective here,
try some vsti's, choose one that works for you and master it
modern synths are capable to make every sound you want, look through presets,
very soon you'll be able to make almost any sound you like

Using Kontakt for most electronic music is overkill. You do not need super expressive realistic pianos or whatever instrument with layered multisamples and so on. In this context they are just bloat! TAL sampler is lightweight comparatively and there are lots of others as well.
Battery on the other hand, is pretty awesome. But you can get away with Logic's DMD and still make great drums for your tracks.

Using Kontakt for this would be like showing up to a session to make some house music or techno, and bringing a bassoon.

Plenty out there, but I'd start with NI's own Analog Dreams or Modular Icons.

And ignore people poo-pooing Kontakt, it's a very versatile platform.

That's an impressive list of libraries. I've tried and listen to maybe a third of them but somehow forgot about them.
They didn't fit my taste but since you mention them I guess the could very well answer the original question of this post.
    Good job!

That's where the fun begin tho
Deep Purple played with a symphonic orchestra (long time ago, well before EDM stuffs) and it was really good
It's the heart of music: experiments.

Please @ventus13, use whatever YOU want to make your sound.
And making EDM with ambient librairies is with no doubt challenging but fun, and you'll end with something personal.

For all the 'sound dictators (wanna be mostly)" out there, they make me laugh, nothing more. (it's noise)
(let's be clear; @clone you do not seem to be a sound nazi to me, your words were just perfect to illustrate my thought after
reading @Arcticstorm reaction, no offence bro)

Even sonicLAB"s Cosmosf could be useful.

    Happy music @ventus13
