THIS DRUMS SOUND REALLY WEIRD WITHOUT THE EQ/COMP/SAT/REVERB ETC...UNLIKE OTHER NATURAL KITS LIKE THE ABBEY ROAD STUFF WHICH HAS NO PROCESSING! SO DON'T GET FOOL, YOU WILL END UP SOUNDING LIKE 400 OTHER RECORDS!!!

Yes, it's true. The thing is practically garbage. I tried all three kits, and all of them had way too much reverb. Maybe I'm just new to Studio Drummer, but I couldn't figure out how to turn off the reverb... even when I did turn off the sends it sounded way too wet.

hmm u can use studio drummer with kontakt if u can - its easy to reduce the reverb amount via the "screwdriver" in the send and normal fx. very easy.
and i think they have a manual included. btw never complain about warez - u getting it for free and should thankful for it!
    dont write with caps *no*

i was telling that rule or idea in term of warez - so read carefully.
u tried to use it with kontakt or not?!
and i dont want to complain about u dont buy it - just saying that u be generally thankful for getting something in the digital world for free.
    i do that everytime.

actually, I was quite impressed upon hearing these drums....firstly, I have no interest in the in built fx, and especially not the presets, of the drums....secondly, they sound GREAT once you learn how to send each kit piece to its own individual output (which I do in Studio One)....and thirdly...maybe you just dont have much of a clue!!!
If good sounding drums are set up in a good room and excellent mic's are used to record the hits and the ambience, then what else are you expecting??
Imagine youre in a control room looking out onto the drums...imagine all the lines are connected into your mixer....then imagine you have some sort of clue about mixing...lol...learn your craft people (unless of course, its just not for you....food for thought).
you want ready made drums? grab the Steven Slate stuff...its really limited...gives you next to no choice...but that sounds like what youre after.
    Good luck!!

I havent used or tried studio drummer but lee1970 practically droped the science on the subject. Hopefully some of these guyz will wake up someday and look back and realize how simple the they were. my only advice is focus on sculpting your mixing. Its what really counts in the end.

I also think they are pretty excellent drums, some people I think, have no business throwing out opinions on subjects they haven't a clue about.

Yeah, I'll jump on this one and concur, I was actually very impressed with the drum sounds, not surprisingly reminds me a lot of using Battery, as far as the action goes

    WATCH THIS VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s88r_q7oufE
NO WAY YOU CAN GET A TIGHT SOUND WITH THAT MUCH ROOM, AND EVEN IF YOU TAKE THE ROOM MIKES IT SOUNDS DEAD. SO WHATS THE POINT HAVING ROOM MIKES IF YOU CANT ADD THEM TO THE OTHER INSTRUMENTS.
I'M SORRY IF YOU GET OFFENDED, BUT NI COULD DO A BETTER JOB, I MEAN LOOK AT 'mixIR2' YOU CAN ACTUALLY PLACE PROPERLY ALL MIKES, NI SHOULD DO THIS WITH IR.

not only do you keep employing the huge font (showing disrespect to the forum and those who have asked you to desist) but you seem to be...well...full of shit....what does the the production of that song have to do with Studio Drummer??? you may as well be banging on about the same shit in regard to any drum sampling software...geez...learn how to configure these drums (or any NI stuff) so as to have seperate outputs of each kit piece to its own channel (including seperating the IN and OUT of the kick...the TOP and BOTTOM of the snare, etc )...dont bother using the in-built fx of Studio Drummer and certainly not any of the presets...then set up your DAW so that you have full control of each individual output...and do whatever the fuck you want with them...mate, youre doing my head in...lol....and if you are having trouble understanding what Im saying then perhaps I need to upload my preset kits with the above mentioned ouput config's...took me hours to do...in which time I also LEARNED the software better...did I mention time?? oh yeah, it TAKES TIME to master this craft...dont expect to be a hot-shot within a week...lol

that was the same what i thought as i read his post!
sometimes ppl thinks install the plugin and u have the fantastic sound without playing around :/
but yh u need to invest time into it to understand how it works.
for example as i got dune - i switched to the presets and said to myself - umm not the sound what i was looking for ...
and then a few months later - i took some midi stems and made my own things with dune and said wow - this is simpler - this has its own character ... etc.

dave learn out of it - learn the stuff u use ... and dont complain about a parameter which was set to high ...

Oh boy.. where to start? @Dave, the drums are great. There is nothing wrong with them at all, but if you're looking for a better sound then I suggest you buy some drums and pay some guy with two sticks to play them, but of course as all Drummers , he'll drink all your beer and hit on your girl or sister. Anyways...Studiodrummer is a Kontakt library and if you do not know how to change something as simple as re-verb then you sir need to either learn or quit trying. Your points, if that can actually be called that are moot. Now I watched the vid you posted and I have to agree that the drummer is good, but wtf does that have to do with a library?? Are you a drummer?? Didn't think so..If you were then you would know how to tune to your liking, this isn't BurgerKing , you can't have your way ,right away. So here is what I suggest..STFU ,learn how to use Kontakt and learn about drums. Come back in a few years when you actually know something. Another thing... Obviously you know how to use Google or you would not have found this forum. Next time, Google forum etiquette. Typing in caps is considered yelling and has been that before you were born. Do all of these things and I'm sure one day you will start to make sense

Only 14-year old girls and Kanye West should be writing in all caps.
