One of my older tracks I produced. New stuff even better. I made this all on my laptop. Not to mention I didn't sing in this and I can sing and have a whole setup now.

  2. 8 pages. We have been discussing this for 8 pages and now we hear 2 minutes of your music and it makes me wonder why it took 8 pages to get to this point. Why didn't you just say "here is my music. How can I get more fans with zero money?" It really would have made it a lot easier. We wouldn't have needed to go into an in depth analysis of cinematography.

I say this with respect to your effort, but it's not the money that separates you from the big guys. There's a lot of practice you must put into your craft before you can start to focus on serious marketing.

Because some people have to blame other factors for their lack of success.
I watched Timbaland mixwiththemasters seminar yesterday he got asked how many tracks did he have to make in his prime to get a top ten track. His reply was 500!!!
Now remember that when you are whinging why your ten tracks you made are unsuccessful.
All the whingers always in these forums that hate on others and complaining about what they don't have instead of putting in the work is their real problem.
Jake that track was enjoyable I liked it. I thought your music was going to be way way below average.
With something like that the answer to your original post to gain real fans with zero dollars 100% yes.
Makes me think of drinking on the beach.
All music and fans is just a transfer of energy, always easier to get fans while you are in your vibe authentically creating then trying to create something just to get fans. Make your own vibe.
Watch some Gary V, it's not your music it's your mindset.

Signed with what label my friend? Atlantic? Monstercat? And where do these views come from? The song lacks structure, harmonies & musicality, dynamics.. I can tell a "big" track from a lower one, it depends on how exactly "big" you wanna get I guess.

PS. Thanks for calling me a clown mate, you have the right mentality, seriousness and kindness required for success.

Bruh if you are crying and laughing and attacking me and you think I got exposed .. I got friends who are in the millions of views and they think they're just begginers. Good luck doing anything in music with the mentality you have, you will need it.

The lack of structure for me is what made it good.
But I agree with you have to have the right mentality, seriousness and kindness required for success.

I think I'm done taking any kind of advice from you especially having to do with music.

Yes it's not necessarily bad to have sudden leaps. Personally, I enjoy it most of the time. Sad that labels are going to roast the artist and demand "better structure, the changes are too sudden", or that it is "too chaotic". :facepalm:And this is when having to go independent comes into play. Now is it possible to spend 0 dollars and make it, if the big playlists on Spotify demand money to put your track in there? The issue is deep

Nope. You need the cash even if your music is good enough to impress "wavyj" the savant and greatest music critique of all time you won't get far with no money or LOAN from a record label to then expand your reach and enhance your brand by getting high quality video reel to match your music that also competes with other top artist.

They are already in the game. You are trying to steal their fans. Goodluck.

    Definitely possible, especially today.
I don't think it's deep at all. Just put in the work.
    This is a good book.

Meant "deep issue" in the sense that it is illegal for playlists to demand money, but they do it, so it seems like that you either have to make amazing tracks that also suit the labels you aim for, or be ready to spend.. I think putting hard work on reaching lots of smaller listers could be a way for good free and independent exposure. IMO It all becomes a blurry balance between how much it is worth it to spend time on chasing free promo, to conform or not conform on label demands, and to spend or not spend for promo.

Producing music and delivering it to the final listener is a multi-step process that is performed sequentially. At each stage, many people are involved.

In the first stage (forming an idea in the artist's mind and implementing it), great care may be taken to get the job done well, but in later stages, when other people are involved, those people may not be qualified enough and the product does not reach the listener well.

There is also the opposite mode. The original idea and the product may not have the necessary quality at all, but it will be advertised by other people in later stages in a way that attracts listeners.

If we want the whole process of music production and consumption to be performed flawlessly, all the steps must be controlled and reviewed by competent people.

I do not want to say that this is not possible at the moment, but due to the breadth and complexity of the music process and the involvement of many people in it, it is always possible that a good product will not be supported.

It really depends on your goal. If your goal is to become rich and famous from your music it will take money at some point.
If your goal to to have a small loyal fan base, that can be achieved without money at first, but you'll need some capital investment at some point to grow.

    Real life story.
My wife and I started releasing our modern original Christmas music this past year. Focusing only on Facebook we had zero budget with me promoting about 4-5 hours a day from a new band page with no fans or views. We were able to organically reach over 40K people and get over 15K plays with close to 600 following us in about 5 weeks of work.
So yes you can build a small fan base with zero dollars today if you put in the work.....
Just don't expect to make any money unless you invest in your business. IE: Merch, website, marketing.

    Here is what I learned
Every hour I spend promoting takes me away from creating new music, and online promoting is NOT inspiring work.
If you want to make money from those following you it will take some money in some form.
Organic growth takes time, but is possible.
Setting goals is important, but managing your expectations is crucial to your success.

We do everything in house from the recording, mixing, mastering, and artwork.
We do collaborate with others and we do hire out musicians when needed.
