How exactly do I use new V.R. Releases of Waves, when I installed a previous one and already used the patch ?

Just running the waves central updater will detect the V.R. Patch ?!

Waves central will delete the patched license, so you should update your plugins and run the patch again.

I wonder if this is why, so many people have problems reinstalling waves.

If the guys from waves know about the patch an include a "delete" in their installer, there also might put a hidden registry entry for further cracks.

I guess I try to delete the patched license before installing. Do you know which files have to be deleted ?

 

No one said they include a "delete" in their installer. It may be just that the install or update always overwrites those files, so you need to overwrite them again with the patched ones.
I have never heard of any registry entry for that.
The file in the R2R version is "WavesLicenseEngine.dll" and there is one for Win32 and one for Win64 in respective folders inside: C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio\Modules\WavesLicenseEngine.bundle\Contents.
With R2R just copy and paste the provided "WavesLicenseEngine.bundle" folder, overwriting existing subfolders and files.
I assume the V.R version does a similar thing for you.
You just have to remember to do it after each update or install.
