No one said 96k eliminate aliasing/foldover. I think the word I used was "minimize". At least most of it is out of the audible range. Check the link I posted again.

The harmonics in the CLA-76 is saturation harmonics (true to the hardware, which it emulates). It's not aliasing.

the problem is that a higher samplingrate for IO, project, and files, wont solve all issues.

on the one hand you will still need to upsample->process->decimate for certain things, and on the other hand it is also questionable why you would like to keep all tracks bandlimited to 96 or 192 when you later render to a master in 44.1 and 48.

what i am trying to say is, it is good that DAWs still allow you to use 44.1 khz while multirate inside a plug-in is free.
