I can't think of any 'anti-alias' plugins to add right away.

I DO know of an 'alias' plugin.
Unfortunately I don't know its real name.

if you take it literally it would technically make absolutely no sense.

but maybe he refers to his nick? anti-him plug-ins?

    In which way, please?

BTW, the thread title should be rather 'Plugins with oversampling (option)'.

Even if this is true, it can be more CPU demanding than using OS on a few pluggies, right?

I wish people would know and care half as much about music production than about oversampling capabilities of plugins… the world would be a better place (sonically).

I kind of almost in a way nearly figured something like that out after a while of studying what antialiasing is.
I still wasn't sure, of course...

no. not everyone can do that so this thread is about plugins that tackle aliasing through filters and good code

you have yet to explain how you originally found out that many developers would not able to implement a sinc filter properly.

or why interpolation would be required for a rational factor, for that matter.

Bcuz plugins exist that have anti aliasing measures that don't require oversample?
Plus some sound worse/different with it enabled..

    so no

it doesnt make much sense to claim that developers do it wrong when you are not addding which filter model, filter type, and interpolation methods you prefer or which you would accept as "correct".

but i am not suprised you dont want to answer that.

I was just pulling your leg. Any oversampling will fix aliasing/foldover. That's their sole purpose.

Almost all of the Voxengo plugins have a [great - Alexey made R8Brain SRC] adjustable oversampling option up to x8 in the upper-right corner. You can also adjust the auto-OS for all Voxengo plugins in the settings, and choose between minimum-phase and linear-phase oversampling. All plugins should have that IMHO.

Also, all u-he synths have oversampling, at least at some stages if not at the last stage. I'm not sure about u-he effect plugins, but following Urs' philosophy I'm sure there is some oversampling somewhere. I mean ffs u-he Colour delay sounds fabulous!

you seem to be in every discussion about plugins - saying the same thing or that you don't need such and such plugins because you have this and that. I will admit I'm a tech nerd before anything the dial up tone was always special to me... live your own truth

Yes. I was just pointing out that all plugins minimize aliasing if you run 96k.

Well, deviating from your statement about the
according to my measurements the following plugs do produce aliasing:
    • Cytomic The Glue: just switch of both OS options
    • DMG Audio: all models of TrackComp and TrackLimit.
    • Softube CL1B MKI
    • the complete Kush Omega series, some of them even with OS on
    • Wavesfactory Spectre
    • Toneboosters: Enhancer, Ferrox, Reelbus v3 and v4 and Timemachine
