I don't know what funny is in my post @Arghspace

    Sorry azuli1 but this isn't a V.R release.
Latest Wavelab release from V.R is "Steinberg WaveLab Elements v10.0.20 XT".
And my advice is to use this one.

The topic is meant to explain a method to state the problem you have. That's why it's closed.

I don't know man. If You have any doubts use older official V.R release and use the newest fake e-licenser from absolute bundle or other fresh V.R release and download update from official Steinberg site. Those packs looks like someone do exact same steps.

To some extend yes, in general, if it's uploaded in audioz it's safe.

The uploader should state if the repack is from ru or trusted audio registration torrent sites , when not everybody should know , cause it could be a pirate bay or similar source .

I would love to know why vr dont release waves anymore .Is it cause they repack so fast ?
I def would prefer vr deposid site - audioz - ru before unknown p2p -audioz .

I do not agree . P2P and torrents can be anything. Do you know the uploader personally? how can you know he doesn't have any malicious intention? or how can you know that the uploader has the knowledge to be sure that what he's uploading doesn't have any malicious files hidden?

Anything from torrent sites can easily contain viruses, the only thing that makes a release safe is the team name on it, TOGETHER with a SHA-256, which in my opinion should be written on every Az post for all official team releases, so that everyone can check both integrity of downloaded files and safety of origin (I want on my pc what came out of R2R and VR PCs, nothing more, nothing less).

Also, the name of teams should be kept out from title and from description as much as possible with repacks, to avoid confusing inexperienced users like it happened in this case.

Saying "if it's on audioz it's safe" is pure lieing to users. While it is true that most posts are harmless, there have been viruses found occasionally and, furthermore, not all threats can be detected (a good hacker/cracker can easily create a good undetectable malware. When you have the brain and knowledge to bypass crazy difficult protections and encryptions, the sky is the limit).

So the correct thing to say is: "to the best of our knowledge, 98% of releases on Az are usually safe".

We all appreciate the sister site and everyone that uses their time and effort to share amazing programs ( :thanks::dj:), but let's not make it sound as if it's like downloading from microsoft website :)

Most uploaders like sunny pirate deuces hidera and others pull their stuff most trusted sources, if that wasn't the case they would have been banned or no one will download anything from them. even P2P releasers have a reputation to maintain. Yes stuff happens and you never know what can happen. So yeah audioz is safe, but you have to be careful with everything.

Well if the antivirus can not read the file ( cracked key file verification encryption) it will treat it as malware since it is given a false id by the file.

Antivirus will not say a file is malware unless it can be read. Since the main application has to have access to the file so will the Antivirus application.

One of the simplest virus ( we screwed with the IT team on this one hahahah) was to have a dumb user click a batch masqueraded as a screensaver exe. He called the IT dept and said it did not work, so he rebooted his pc we got a call saying he can't boot into Windows.

Fool clicked on a batch with
    Ren c:\windows\system32 *.* *.haha

So all the file extensions changed lol, he could not boot.
We fixed in in a few minutes, and he never looked at screensavers again LOL.
    LMAO!!!

You very right but you dont differentiate enough here and no you dont need to be carefull on az only with this repacks (and unknown uploaders) from p2p but i guess they make em even by themself and say its p2p .

For the rec .I massively think not .-PROOF ?

    P2P is another story .

It is kept out of title only in the uploaders tab it is mentioned with the size and datum and i think it is good this way .But im for repacks only from dead teams anyway.
