If you try to install Waves Complete from an offline source, (in my case `WC.12.25.01.21), check this out:

    1)first scenario:
    1.a)Fail
    Install failed.JPG
1.b) Installation folder location: (as you see, the path is quite long)
    Long Patch.png

    *****************************************************************************************

    2)second scenario:
    2.a)Success
    Install OK 2.JPG
2.b)Installation folder location: (as you see, the path is the shortest possible. - in my case, root of the drive D)
    Short Pacth.png

    ******************************************************************************************

By allocating the installation files (complete folder), at the root of the drive, the problem was immediately solved. Maybe there are other reasons for this failure to happen, but stay tuned to this detail! Greets from Brazil.

  4. Perhaps consider the subscription model if you really need Waves plugins?

Did you get this sorted?? If not I could explain.
First I create a new folder and called it WU15 then I took out the Waves folder from the original download and placed it in my new WU15 folder. I then double click on MY PC when it opens I drag the WU15 folder to that location. I then open waves central and direct it to that offline folder and that’s it. Remember now to keep the other bits that were in the original download cause I believe you are going to NEED them

how do you apply this to mac? i fixed the issue in the past by putting the folder in tdesktop, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

Presumably, the inclusion of "Desktop" in the file name is causing your issue, at least from the fix given above.

You need to keep the file name as short as possible, so make a file in your root directory, eg: C/Waves15, then launch the installer from there, as opposed to C/Desktop/Waves15.

I can only guess you gotta be really dumb to use special characters like # or . in folder names
