[Solved] Ableton indexer makes me sick!

    why would i do something else?

    okay, i scanned 150k samples last night with Ableton 10, took 40 mins, during this time, drag and drop was not working of samples. everything else worked, it used one cpu core from my 8 ones and after finishing scanning/indexing it simply when quiet again. I have no problems with abletons indexer.
    that was on win 8.1!
    on windows 10 it did the same and ableton worked pretty good for me.

    I just installed right now Live v10.1.30 to verify it (legit one).
    Everything's work fine, I can drop wav, mp3 or flac files without problems.
    Flac and mp3 files get converted immediately after drag & drop.
    The problem must be on your side, bad crack (if you use craqcked Live) or something else?
    Maybe broken administrator privileges or write permissions?

    Roject do you use a password for logging into windows or do you have set windows to NO need to type a password at log on ?

    It makes a difference in win7 if using no password , u not as strong admin as with password .

    I'm using Win 10. Problem was in Ableton running as admin. If I wasn't run Ableton as admin I can drag & drop. But I must run Ableton as admin because I'm using jbridged plugins. So my solution is using external file explorer like Directory Opus running too as admin. Then I can drag and drop from Directory Opus to Ableton.
