i have been provided an official installer already, so my request has been solved.

thanks for your neverending preaching.
i now have the newest version to a software that i have an official xfer invoice form when i bought it 4 years ago. i don't know why SD hasn't replied within a few days, (pandemic?)
i don't know why i hadn't updated serum for almost 3 years and i don't know why i screwed up my email account, but those things happen...right?

Most Companies have their current installers online, like for instance u-he, which i installed yesterday.
I don't know why there is no Serum installer online and i hope it's not illegal to share the installer, lol.
(btw. technically it's not illegal to share an installer, only serials..so do your homework in law before you act like you know sh!t)

i hope you guys are staying strong through the pandemic, because it seems like you are preaching a little bit too much, you got wayyy to much time on your hands and are wayyy to much finger-pointing. i'm out here laughing my arse of about what i've been accused of within 24 hours.

I strongly agree with you and have contacted the mods about it on several ocassions. However, as written it is not against the plain language of the rules to do what the OP did. The rules only mention that "linking to, requesting or trading Warez is strictly prohibited." A legit installer without a serial or any method to circumvent its authorization protection does not fall under the definition of Warez. The problem is that it is neither free nor accessible to the general public. Therefore, technically the site can get in trouble for its unauthorized distribution. A solution is to amend the rules to explicitly state that linking to, requesting or trading Warez or non-free products is strictly prohibited. Until that takes place, members will continue to request them.

 

You are wrong. Read what I wrote above. It is not illegal if it is available to the general public but if it is not the EULA prevents you from distributing it. That is a legal difference. Be happy that you did get what you came looking for, and do your homework in law before you act like you know shit.

Yeah thats why you must be fast when next warez'ed serum get posted on AZ ; we had a dozen serum warez posts on AZ - and they get DMCA'ed after short time yes .

Its not against the rules to ask for an legit installer between legit users and now you say it would be better to post on az after sayin above .WTF
and it is total nonsense , this is not bout warez - and2- like your logic , everyone with a legit installer which is not able for public download is using warez .

I think you misinterpreted my message. I did not mean to piggyback on you request.
I was jut agreeing with you that people can have a legit licence for Serum and still not being able to get access to an install / upgrade.
I just wanted to describe my case, not undermine yours since we're in the same situation.
I saw you disliked my post, I imagine it's because you did not understand my statement which was that I am empathetic with your problem since mine is similar.

ASexP members reaction is justified because they have experience in posts like this new account - newbie he didn't read the rules, post about a product that is mostly life time trialed = trouble.

 

I think some installer may contain data of the legit owner CMIIW .. that is why some of the demo can not be unlocked with serial from a keygen unless you have the official installer. Example, Unisum, NotePerformer, etc. So yeah, i remember when i asked for Ivory II installer, some users thought i was asking for warez .. lol. There is no k'ed Ivory II btw .. but yeah, things happened tho.
