Yes you can, with no problem. That functionality works fine. With one or two r2r releases you had to reboot the pc a couple of times to get it to change from demo to recognised and useable. But after that you could select those different components and mix and match EQ's, compressors etc. That was just one or two though, the rest worked fine from the start, and those problem ones worked fine after some reboots.

 

Just got my Console 1 today... Really nice knobs on it! ... will try it later.

Can anyone confirm is R2Rs releases work with the Softube Central software? Or does it kill an R2R release?

 

Works VERY well! I must say the hardware Console is worth getting if you need good knobs and streamlined workflow!

I tried the different Softube Console models.. Some are really good, bu the prices are too steep...

hello! how to make in weiss mm-1 in vst2? do you use console 1 hardware? how to switch osd to console 1 fader? how else can you change the module "drive" to "tape"?

It works. Softube CS does not interfere with r2r's release, just like it did not with Audioutopia's.

 

Osd in my opinion does not switch to Fader mode. Disabled modules become inactive.

 

Because most hardware compressors don't have a longer attack. I'm also not sure why anyone would want to compress with an attack longer than 30ms.

I decided to test my method, in the matter of replacing SSX files. To check, I used Process Monitor and came to the conclusion that it is enough to download the preset. The Console 1 plugin connects the necessary modules from the preset. Here is the preset "Weiss Gambit.default" loaded:

So my method is only suitable for copying presets to enable this preset by default. Next, we save the preset in the DAW and use it.

Since my method is not mandatory, I recommend that those who used it, restore the default state by running "Console1 Channel Strip\4000\activate. cmd".
