The op clearly states Mac! We have no such Add Library tool! Please read the thread first, or at least the op!

 

not Mac related but i added a library with add library.exe on windows but cant figure out how to get it to activate do i need a keygen or something ?? library in particular is antidrum machine

 

@Cornelius Nubston Is it still showing as Demo? Are other libs working okay?
Normally I'd say that your Kontakt hasn't been patched successfully if the lib shows as Demo.

 

I was able to load new library with the old 'add library' from Kontakt 6.3.1 ...

Not really, because the member is on macOS. We don't have the Add Library tool you PC people have.
We use 5.6.0 standalone for it's Add Library button and they will show up in K6.

 

Hi Smoove Grooves . Really thanks for the help. At this topic, I have the .xml files ok in the Service Center folder, but the library of Spitfire Solo Strings does not appear on Kontakt 6 (6.4.2). The name of the .xml is the same as the library. It was automatically created when I added the library on Kontakt 5 (5.6.0). The same issue occurred with some Olafur Chamber Evolutions (on the other hand , the Olafur Composer Toolkit was ok). I haven't opened the native access yet for any reason.

Please can you go into Service Center and check the SNPID # on the relevant .xml files?
If they say 000, change them to the number written in the .nicnt file.
Do this with TextEdit, and hit cmd-s to save the change.

Hey Everyone, I'm very new to the forum AND the world of Kontakt. I purchased some libraries online (no access numbers)... didn't know that before the purchase. Libraries didn't load without DEMO in "Player"...(striking out here). Decide to purchase legit Kontakt 6, hoping to load libraries...that didn't work either (Strike 3).

The libraries did come with an "installer" of sorts...was suppose to "upgrade" Kontakt and I needed version 5.5.0 or later. When I tried to install, keeps telling me I need version "5.5.0 or later" (thinking, "isn't 6 later than 5.5.0?) [After reading various posts, I know there's a difference and why) Needless to say, I still can't access the libraries. I apologize for the long post AND redundant question. Thank you for your patience.

Well it seems you had an idea because you're quoting something from a related post!
And it doesn't make sense to me with the knowledge I have, so please explain so I can irradicate whatever needs to be, prior to sorting this out.
Obviously there is "a difference" but this should not be relevant in the circumstances.

 

I apologize for the confusion. After reading some of the posts, I know that there are differences in version 6 which do allow adding libraries. I posted here because the thread was referencing my problem. My problem is I didn't know where to get the resources to alleviate my issue. Thanks again.

 

Not sure what you mean. i still don't understand what you mean by the "differences" and incorrect thinking may be stopping you from succeeding, which is why I wanted you to explain. But nevermind.
On Windows we use an Add Library app since NI did away with the Add Library button around 5.8.1 or whenever it was.
On macOS we use 5.6.0 standalone to add the library so it shows up in 6+.

The fact that this is probably related to all the cock-ups that NI have made and fixed since 6.4.2 means that there are no "resources" to "alleviate" your issue.
6.3.2 was good and all libraries worked that should have.

 

Gotcha. So do I need the "Add Libraries" folder? Or Kontakt 5.5.0? And if so, where would I could get Kontakt 5 because I haven't been able to find it? Thanks again for your patience. I appreciate it.

 

I don't know. What platform are you on? Windows or macOS?
5.6.0 comes with the 6 crack for Mac.
So I'll guess you are on Windows, or you just didn't look inside Applications/Native Instruments/Kontakt (or Kontakt 5 folder) if on Mac.
Either way, your answer is above.
Go back to wherever it was that you got your crack from.

I think that's the issue. The Add Library App keeps looking for a previous version of Kontakt and will not install. So, I guess that leaves me needing either a new Add Library App or a location for a previous version of Kontakt. Again, I apologize for the lack of clarity.

 

As someone said above, they had results using an older version of the app from like 6.3.2 or something.
But I still think this may be an issue related to all the faults and fixes since 6.4.+
I really don't understand how it is looking for a previous version of Kontakt. That's strange.

UPDATE: Thank you for your help. In a round-a-bout way, I fixed it...(lots of downloading). The library opens in K5...but is demo in K6. I'm sure there's a fix...could you point me in the right direction? Again, I appreciate your assistance. Thank you.
