Is it possible to record send fx variations on channels? I pressed record and played with send fx on dif channels, but it seems it doesnt record the data?

Yup, touch in S1 means S1 will record every knobtwist in realtime as the project is running. Which is a very cool feature for jamming like with a analog mixing desks directly to dat back in the days...with the advantage of beeing tweakable afterwards!
Some months ago, i used to search in automation folder for the right parameter to automate, till i realize i just have to activate touch, push the knob i want without twisting, and the right automation window comes up, ready to go! I love that feature. Guess its not a biggie, probably same in most other daws. I just use Studio One cause i had the chance to use it due to a friend, and was decades long cubase user, up to cubase 3 or something. Never changed, then i switched from win to mac (just because, dont ask why ) and S1 is similar to Cubase. And now that i‘m used to it, i really dig it cause it does what i need. Plus a myriad of things i won’t even be able to think about approximately.
Btw, heard good things of Bitwig incl. the Grit. Whatever, i‘m superfine with S1!

 

Touch record as long as you touch the fader, either with mouse or a touch sensitive fader.
Write will always write no mater if you actually touch the fader or not

 

Interesting difference, I need to check this in Reaper.
