I would consider my self as a hobbyist with ambition for more
In my whole "career" as musician I made 100 Bucks ... and that’s with setting up studio equipment for someone

The biggest problem is still the fear of getting sued (Copyright is a Bitch ) And with more than 100 Mio Songs published it's a minefield for making the same song (or a similar one which can also be sued ) so publishing a song is always a risk

I am a nobody underpaid blue collar worker.
I started out life playing drums now I make tunes with my laptop, and my music goals are the same as when I was young.

I was in the music industry. I signed small and medium contracts with some very important labels. A long time ago I recorded LP's, (Vinyls), then CD's, always as a musician. Then I built my own recording studio. I love music and production. I recorded some CD's for other artists. I'm still trying to make a living from this. I live on something else. I may never make it, who knows.

 

For fun. And not planning to make a dime from it.

I'm trying to be a drummer with a decent life situation for the last 15 years, I just missed my biggest opportunity ever with a band so now I'm also learning to mix properly to add some professional possibilities.. And I'm learning subtractive synthesis as well, playing a lot of piano and just finished my home studio and started to write my own music so maybe a bit of producing too in the future..
