Just to let you all know... all what was needed was a little bit of patience. The release offered over at Audioz works perfectly! At the beginning I could not load any 3rd party libraries. But after contacting the guy who posted it, he kindly sent me a new INIT file. Boom! Magic! Everything works now!

I am new to Nebula, but everything I have tried so far is impressive, especially Tim Petherick stuff and Cupwise and CDSoundmaster's tape.

So, not a bad thing at all... Nebula 4 for free... and access to every 3rd party library out there.

    Long live Audioz!

    Peace!

    Brilliant! Great observation.
:deep_facepalm: And uh, just to let you know...the op speaks of being a legit customer as well, hence the problem that is being talked about.
You seem to have missed the point of the thread.

The Acustica guy still sounds pissed off. I saw the N4 post but didn't get involved, I don't think the OP of that post claimed they'd cracked it.

I didn't know about that Nebula trojan horse like thing. What a massive ass-kicking, gotta give it to AA
And of course he's pissed, he may act cool (love that movie-like "let me tell you a story" lol) but they sell their stuff for a living.

The point is that a lot of people in the post complained that it was only N4 player, and that they risked their legit stuff for a free software. Also, the OP updated about not using Aquarius, so people got warned.

It seems that many have forgotten what the site is for at all - audioz. But they want to eat a fish and swing on a bolt. )))
    Thanks jemme!

"1) we've come up with a trial where you just bring the dates back and forth."

What? 8| Can we reset the trials by adjusting local OS time, somehow?

my 2 cents- I've been purchasing third party dev libraries, I only use the ones I've bought- so nothing off sister site, although that is first where I found them. I've gone legit now, at least in that category and moving slowly towards there with everything else.

despite the sister site player working fine i wanted to support (and get updates etc... not all just nice intentions tbf) and purchase the player legit. it's 400 bucks bundled with libraries i have no interest in. according to Acusticas customer service the computer you install on needs access to internet. I don't have internet at home, I have a laptop and a phone which I can use to transfer things to my desktop. I read the FAQ, I sent them a message to confirm and clarify- and despite me mentioning how I read it and citing the part I was concerned with the initial response was just to send me a link to the FAQ. when I replied detailing my question further- can I buy it, authorize it on my laptop and transfer to my studio the answer was," no." Plugin Alliance allows this, other developers allow this, but Acustica wants me to have an active internet connection apparently on top of spending whatever extra for their "bundle." so I guess I need to handcuff myself to Comcast as well as Acusticas servers in order to... use a product that works wonderfully offline via the sister site.

It seems to be yet another case where pirating gives the end user a more flexible product. I still never got a decent answer from customer service, I don't know if it's a one time activation where it might be worth dragging my entire desktop into a cafe, or if it's going to always need to be online or if it's like once a month it needs to update/authenticate. I think I read the latter somewhere, maybe the gearspace forum. for a premium product that is embarrassingly clunky (lack of LFO sync support, lack of a stereo env follower) to have that kinda "that's your problem." attitude.... well maybe I'll pick it up on sale someday, but I'm not sure why, it seems like it'll just make things reliant on internet access in order to use what I purchased.

to be clear: if right now there was a 100 dollar nebula player available by Acustica that was literally the same version as the sister site (ie I didn't need to worry about an internet connection to avoid a timebomb) I would purchase it immediately despite that being like 1/4 of my bank account. I do want to support, I do love those 3rd party libraries- but the reason for that is because I am able to USE them today or 5 years from now on a laptop in a van by the river.
