Is there anyone able to extract sounds from games like DMC, Horizon Zero Dawn, One Piece Pirate Warriors, and so forth? Of course they're all encrypted, and since I don't understand anything about coding, programming, and this kind of stuff I need an expert. I wouldn't mind to give something in return if I get some help. Send me a message if interested.

If you have a loopback on your audio interface then that is your best solution

Usually there is the music there, with other sounds too. I wish it was possible to extract the single sounds.

I tried extracting once from Chime using a tool called unxwb, but didn't work for me. Can't use loopback either, because the game synthesises music as you play and i'd like to get each sample separately.

As far as i know sound files aren't encrypted in most games but saved in an uncommon .xwb and.xsb format used solely in video games

I've always wanted to know how to do this too but not all games have their sound files out just like that when you go to look in them. I did know a guy once that did know how but I don't keep in contact with him anymore.

    it really depends...
is the game using drm? which engine is the game using? which type of file is used?

depending on your case, you will need the appropriate tools!
    a few examples:
    cyperbunk uses "file.archive"
    gta uses "file.pck" or "file.bnk"
unreal engine uses "file.pak" which you have to extract first, then you have to find a "file.uasset" file of the sound you are looking for and extract that file again...

it is less complicated than it sounds, but there not a universal solution!

just search the web and youtube for:
How to extract sounds from games

But the easiest solution might be to record the sound and possibly isolate it with izotope rx, although this might not produce the cleanest results.

Examine one of those files with a hex editor, you might find out what compression it uses

Most games have a volume slider for music that's independent of the sound volume (and also sometimes one for vocal stuff). Might help you, but you still run into the potential problem of multiple sounds at once, of course.

Solder of Fortune 2 used to have a folder with .ogg files in it, at the time when ogg was considered to kill mp3. ;)
And Medal of Honor Allied Assualt also had unprotected wav files burried within the folder structure. I think with steam that all changed though. BTW, I would take a different approach: check who produced the music, check what he uses and try to find the library instead.

I remember extracting audio files from DOOM that Trent Reznor had made but weren't actually used. All I had to do was change the extension of the weird package file to .zip and it unpacked like any other zip file.
It was Trent's voice making the sounds for character jump and action sounds among other noises. It was funny

I used a program called umodel to extract some audio files from an Unreal engine game but it might require an encryption key which you could probably find with Google. I've also used QuickBMS for .pak files too. You can also just check sounds-resource.com and see if someone ripped the sound files from the game you're looking for.

One thing you could try is to find a repack of the game (fitgirl or dodi for exame), and look at the contents of the selective language packs to see if they contain any suitable audio
