Hello world, this is my first attempt at something 'solo'. Earlier and as a bassist I always worked with people and had plenty of advice and criticism to make break my day *yes* . But now sitting alone in front of a PC and dreaming/working has taken a toll on the psyche..So I am here now, looking for friends!!

Please listen to my track and say what you will...I will be eagerly listening..its kinda a score type of track

If someone can suggest me a good mastering tool for SonarX2 I'd be thankful..I am using LP-64 EQ on the master right now and it helps only so far..

It's quite interesting melodically but other than that:

    - Drums are washed with reverb and are quite a bit at the back (I'd make them drier and more forward)
    - The synth lines are way too crowded: Reverbs, Arps, Delays... All on top of each other. Just Tails, tails, tails... Let them bring their ...heads out
    - The bass is not defined and its higher freqs are drowned by the synths
    - Some freqs of the synths are quite piercing without being too loud...
    - I feel it needs more separation (wider panning, filters etc.)
    - The structure is a bit messy. Too much repetition is not good but having no reference isn't good either
    - All in all everything is fighting for each other's place (same line/freqs), rather than compliment each other and give something new to the mix

    TL;DR: Remix it...

Thankxx for listening and the honest reply..and yes its so true, what you say..I will get on with it asap..

One more problem I have been fighting in my head even since I decided to go this (electronic) way - How do you stop yourself from over doing it? I mean, when we recorded in a studio it was like 30 USD an hour plus mixing and CD mastering..now every-time I press the red record button I have to remind myself "its free"..technically I do what I want (btw SouthPark new season is up)..so how do you guys decide its time to stop adding synths??!! :blues:
