c'mon now it's not necessary to create a thread just to say thanks.

 

I purchased Lethal long ago. I haven't used it much. Basically, Lethal is like an all-purpose workstation sound module. Presets are well-crafted and ready to use, and you can get, say, a well-sounding EDM track in a short time. But you can't do much to customize those presets. If you are used to customizing your own presents (OSCs, ADSRs, LFOs, etc.) to adjust to the track you're building, you won't find that in Lethal. But if what you need is to make music fast and ready to listen or dance, Lethal is a good choice.

 

It's not a thanks greeting it is congratulations on beating copy protection. Each bank is protected by LimeLM online activation. You need legit user license to even try this.

 

WE should thank VR for all his releases.

**EDIT, every release however small or insignificant may look for some people is still appreciated and respected, simply because time and energy has been put into it, from people that owe us nothing, yet they strive and work hard to put a smile on people's face and for that, we should be respectful... nothing wrong in showing some appreciation!

Is Lethal really a big thing? The sounds are useful, but it's not really special. Most Lethal sounds I checked out in the last 12 hours sound really easy to make with a softsynth, I don't know yet if it's worth it or if it's a huge waste of space... Probably the latter. The quality is kinda similar to Zampler, useful but not great. Zampler maybe has even more creative or hard to replicate sounds than Lethal... And Nexus (or the Omnisphere presets) are on a whole other level.

But it's a very good thing that VR has finally defeated the protection, and that we can test it.... The Lethal demo is really limited, I think you can only use some sounds from the factory bank, and no stuff from the expansions.

And I've heard most of the Lethal sounds are actually just drum samples, which is kinda meh .-.

 

The presets seems fewer than expected.

 

The presets also seem very similar. As I was flicking through, I wondered if there was a bug because in one particular subfolder nearly every sound was identical.
The ADSR controls seem less effective than Nexus too as so many of the samples are not looped

 

I agree with @tori and @Stuck In The 80s, the sounds are pretty common and easy to make and can be found with the presets in many of the soft synths. I check the ADSR controls as well and found its less effective. However I personally liked the Arp section, plenty of go to Arp presets. Just choose any pluck sound and play with the Arp. (Spent 2 hours enjoying different Arps sequences)

 

well i guess i can judge on the plugin after using it for sometimes

the company lethalaudio itself are lousy company for advertising their own product
,too lazy to answer costumers ,too slow to fix and update (they updated the plugin 3 times only and last version 1.20 seems they fixed
som bugs after getting complains from me and others from 2018)
they are too ignorant to even reply with explaination
i begged lethal since they showed up with 2nd expansions bundle
that if they wanna compete with the big boys they must keep on releasing new stuff
legit costumers like myself did forget we bought the plugin because we are seeing ads of new
plugins and bigger stuff andi would send them a reminder that they need to get back in the game
but ''THEY simply WONT LISTEN''

it was only a matter of time that V,R took it and cracked it and gave this plugin with all 24 expansions to the mass
(it will gain popularity for sure as lethal is capable of producing any style
(i still use its bass for my 80s style projects )
they seems dont care about renaming their sounds so try going through all sounds and discover whats fit your project

now that its cracked i recommend members here to make a track by only using lethal and
and to get to know the plugins knobs (its very nexus GUI style but comes in black )
and try come up with good music

Thanks to VR for every single of their releases, but Lethal is wack. Another marketing thing for easy cheesy EDM shit.

 

Maybe they had a plan, back then, when they started Lethal, but maybe they had some problems or something like that (or they are just con artists). Now it seems that they are just a dead company, who keeps selling their dead, unfinished product. I would never buy a product from a developer who hasn't moved a finger in 2-3 years...
