Firstly, the link to search for HP is dead over there.
Secondly, which source did they use for the measurements? A sinewave with 0dB FS peak? A pink noise? A mix with way less than -14LUFS? These numbers don't tell the whole story. The only thing that is important is the level you can achieve for a mix with your HP and this you have to try, not to look up because it's not stated there.

Regardless of what you choose, you need to get a copy of Sonarworks.

I had a set of 250 ohm Beyer Dynamic DT-990 Pro headphones and was using them with a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 audio interface, and the headphone amp didn't have enough drive.

I'd originally heard the 250 ohm version of these headphones at a friend's house and they had a headphone amp, and the headphones sounded really loud and no distortion. So because of the prior experience, I knew my Komplete Audio 6 headphone amp wasn't up for it.

I then upgraded my soundcard to a UAD Apollo Twin, hoping the headphone amp on that would be better, and it certainly was an improvement, but I knew from the headphone amp experience it could be even better. The headphones eventually died from having to drive the UAD headphone amp close to max to get it loud.

So I bought some 250 ohm Beyer Dynamic DT-880 Pro headphones, and decided to get a Rupert Neve RNHP headphone amp, and now I'm getting the drive I need for the 250ohm headphones, with plenty of headroom to spare, and also no distortion.

I don't think many soundcard headphone amps provide enough drive for 250ohm headphones. You're better off getting headphones with lower ohms if your not going to use a headphone amp.

This Rupert Neve headphone amp is probably the best studio purchase I've made. Especially because I predominantly produce on headphones.

I like sonar-works too, with the side note that to me it was less impressive on the close back then the open back Beyer Dynamic DT-880

anyway guys, i just learn about PreSonus AudioBox and HP4 stacks.. also read that HP4 is oohm enough to drive four 250 cans:

    excerpt from HP4 manual:
    Headphone Impedance Working Range 32Ω – 600Ω
    HP4_OwnersManual_EN_18102018.pdf (presonusmusic.com)

Maybe I read it wrong, what you guys think?
